"It looks like one of those fine July afternoons at Santa Fe's Corwith yard, as Lonnie Maves documents General Motors 1966 built ATSF SD40 5004 basking in the warm sun, along with his 77' Chevrolet Impala Coupe."

Left to right is freshly-repainted EMD SD45-2 No. 5830, the 100-story John Hancock Center, four EMD Geeps led by GP7u No. 2013 and finally, the 108-story Sears Tower. Note the tracks are literally 'blue flagged'.”

The Illinois Northern was the Chicago terminal switching subsidiary of the AT&SF. There were generally either tax or legal reasons for having a separate switching subsidiary.”
