The overpass in the background was the Mundelein Branch of the North Shore Line. Today this ROW is the North Shore Bike Path and there is a pedestrian/bicycle bridge that offers an excellent view of the many Metra, Amtrak, Canadian Pacific, and Wisconsin and Southern trains that pass through Rondout every day.
