So how come basically all animation style in big companies is getting better like Disney and Dreamworks… …except Barbie, which is steadily getting worse by the hour. Like, how is it possible to fail so much???
Disney and Dreamworks specialise in animation and have multi-million budgets and production costs. The Barbie movies don’t even have half of that budget and are low budget direct-to-video releases. Comparing the two isn’t really fair.
Besides that, stating that the animation of the Barbie movies is getting worse simply isn’t true. The animation has improved drastically in the past five years. The newest movie (Barbie in Rock’n Royals) sports beautifully animated hair, flowing skirts and just overall well-done animation. It’s nowhere near Disney or Dreamworks’ standards in terms of quality, but given the low production time and costs of those movies, it’s still impressive and a definite improvement.
