Jack: Tubbo started boxing.
Tom: Yeah?
Jack: And some weeks I spar Tubbo.
Tom: Fucking hell, on camera or just like-?
Jack: No, no, no, j-just when we’re training.
Tom: I’d be filming that shit, but,
Jack: We fi- we filmed it once, but uh y’know w- w- w- we’ll just be training-
Tom: Yeah?
Jack: -and like Tubbo’s y’know like relatively amateur, so w- we only do like very controlled, like technical sparring. But one week, we’re doing, it was- we didn’t have our headgear, so just body shots were allowed, so we’re just hitting each other in the stomach, dunt hurt too much, and y’know I’m- I’m sort of giving him some jabs to the stomach, he’s giving me some back, and I sort of press him into a corner, and I- I’ve learnt- you learn a lot about someone when you box with them. You learn about instinct, and what I learnt about Tubbo is: when it comes to fight or flight, his instin- instinct is absolutely fight.
Tom: Really?
Jack: I mean, that happened, I got him in a corner, I was about to punch him in th- the body, and he sort of forgot all the rules, and he just went- whack- and he just like full force punched me straight around the jaw.
Tom: Serious?
Jack: I’m slack jawed, which is where you like hold your jaw loose, so it hurts really bad, he like full frontal just punches me in the face, I don’t if you’ve ever been like-
Tom: Never.
Jack: -had your jaw spun by Tubbo, not only is it hurt- it really hurt, it’s also a bit humiliating, right?
Tom: And you forgave him?
Jack: Well, no, cause this is what I’m saying, in that moment then I’m like, I could feel that I unlocked another tier of like ‘oh I could really step into him now’.
Tom: Really? You were like-
Jack: I didn’t do it, I held back cause it was Tubbo, but I could really feel, I felt the amp to go ‘yeah, alright’.
Tom: Wow.
