I was looking through the season for more of alec’s looks towards magnus and ……. there are several more I’d like to point out (not like you haven’t seen them already but..). Like these two for instance…..when alec reacts immediately to magnus’ presence, stops/slows significantly mid-motion, and looks.

@sfjessii asked me to rebagel this again with my tags, i hope op doesnt mind #the interesting thing is just how he whirls around so immediately when he recognizes Magnus#and then gives him a once over bc who can resist not Alec I’m gay lightwood#(I mean there’s a VERY explicit once over in the first scene too when he walks past it’s almost obscene)#but his gaze gets caught on Magnus face#and it stays there and his mouth comes apart bc he can’t breathe#and he just STARES#the second one is almost worse bc he really just keeps looking at Magnus all throughout that scene until Magnus turns to him it’s#devastating ESP compared to the scene that had beforehand with the warlock TLC where Alec barely dared glance at Magnus#it’s such a difference and to me personally that means something#it means Alec is afraid#it means Alec is attracted#it means Alec is trying very hard to play pretend but when they are ALONE he doesn’t feel the need to#which means he isn’t afraid of Magnus noticing he’s attracted to him…it’s only other people#which means he’s okay with Magnus knowing about his orientation and knowing that Alec sees him like that bc that’s something they’ve#established#you’re cute I like looking at you like I might kiss you#incredible ???????#this absolutely makes me think of the future too bc Alec getting lost in Magnus face is a thing#sitting around opposite of each other doing something and Magnus is talking and Alec is listening theoretically#but practically he’s chewing on his pen staring at Magnus face so when Magnus looks up bc he asked a question three times now and Alec#didn’t respond and finds him STARING …god…it would bring even Magnus to a blush (via @dearestalec)
