DUDE. I finally finished something! I am so pumped up. I love these socks. They fit so well and the colors are so funky and fun. I named them Bridge Over the Koi Pond. Yarn is Knit Picks Stroll in Koi Pond and Hot Tamale.
Whoops... I frogged the whole sock. I was decreasing for the toe when I realized that I hated it. The fit was funky, the stitch count was annoying, the thought of knitting a second one made me sick. So, I tore it out and now I feel one hundred times better. I have recast it on, and instead of the diamond pattern, I will just be doing the striped one.
Socks and hat update! Finished the cables hat. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Could have planned the shaping better... but whatever 😆 The socks 🧦 are going fantastic, except I ran out of the darker color. So I have to wait till I get my other yarn to finish the second sock. Which will be sometime after Christmas. Which is fine... I will focus on making mittens to go with my hat.
I got a couple of questions about my project notebook, as well as a ton of requests for close ups of the pages. So here is some random information about the journal: -The notebook is from Muji. The paper is blank dot grid. -I haven't used any hole protectors around the yarn samples. But I love the idea. I did have to tape one because it ripped. So thank you @bbfk1313 -As for information to glean from me... not much. I actually need to add spaces for a lot more notes, such as needle size, gauge and swatches. There are others too, but they don't come to mind right now. -Other than that, I have no problem with you copying my idea. Have fun with it! Please, please share your project notebooks/methods with me if you can! Have a great night everyone ❤️
I finished one! Ugh, these socks might be the end of me. At least the second one will be a bit easier now that I have worked out all the kinks. It was as I was binding off this sock that it would have been way cooler if I had made these No Face from Spirited Away socks instead... Well I guess my husband will enjoy these and I will make the No Face ones for myself :)
Oh man. I love knitting babies. This stuff is just so cute and easy to make. Not to mention fast. Just let me know if you are about to pop one out, I will send you a romper asap. Also, I forgot to mention, I got Mario stitch markers. Four mushrooms and one that is Mario himself. They were to fun to pass up.
Jean jacket update.
I would say this is 1/3 to 1/2 way to being complete.
This thing is such an interesting struggle. I had it sitting around with the characters half finished most of last month. I just picked it up because I didn’t really have a knitting project to work on. Then I spent the better part of last week completely enthralled in doing the stitching across the shoulders. I have some direction for the end result of this jacket, although I don’t think its going to mesh as well as I had thought.
But it sure will be loud, garish, and totally unique.
Take that all you trendsetters with your iron on patches! This jacket actually contains sweat, blood, and tears.
(jk,jk, custom jackets with patches and pins are still pretty awesome)
Here is a little peak at a project I'm working on for my sister. I have been whapping leaves onto muslin with some paper and a hammer. The out come can look pretty rad. This bag is just a test, hence it looks like a mess. But I'm excited for this project. It will be a lot of fun. Although, I totally paid for it. I got a lovely mess of a poison ivy rash for going out and picking some plants :(
Working on some manly socks. I am really interested in making more of my products to appeal to all sexes. It is harder then I thought, since most of my knitting life I have made things and fitted them to myself. So I have to keep grabbing my husband and measuring him. But I am learning a lot, so its a good journey.
Sup.
Finished this hat a while back, I was just to lazy to take pictures of it. I am also pretty busy visiting family/friends, packing up my apartment, and moving to Japan.
I can't tell you enough how much I love this style of hat. They are a lot of fun to make. As well as quick and easy. So easy I might have to write a patter :)
Love you all.

Hello! Sorry for the lack of posts. I have actually been working on a lot of commissions and Christmas gifts. Which means I can't post about them until later... :( So this is a little sneak peak at what will be showing up later on.
I have a couple of little surprises instore for you ladies and gentlemen! This is a sneak peak ;) Sorry it's not knitting... Every new project that i have put on my needles in the past few days has been frogged. But I think you will enjoy what is coming...
A hat for my sister. Very basic. Kinda floppy in the back. I thought the design/cable would turn out hideous. And actually it works really well. This is really the only nice picture I have of it :(
