Quarantine outfit #1!
Just because I am stuck inside, doesn’t mean I can’t show off my knits and handmade clothing! This week I will be sharing three of my favorite stay at home outfits. Some for looking cute and some for comfort.
This one is featuring my Ripple Crop Top by Jessiemaed Designs, with my Morginn cardigan by Katrin Schneider for warmth. Paired it all with some super comfortable baggy jeans, and felt very happy and cute for the day.
Finally got around to finishing up my Dottie Angel Frock. The pattern is 1080 by Simplicity. I used version B, which is tunic length, since I didn’t have enough fabric. All in all a fun pattern. Lots of bias tape, which helps create a finished look on the inside, so that is nice. I did have to Google a few techniques that weren’t clearly outlined in the pattern. So I highly suggest this for someone who has sewn garments before.
Of course it isn’t perfect, but for cotton quilting fabric the fit is nice and comfy. It is cute and I finished it just in time to wear in this warm Spring weather.
Current sewing project is the 1080 dress by dottie Angel.
Sadly I didn’t have enough fabric, so my “dress” will be tunic length. This project has been taking me a while to finish. In reality most of the techniques are fairly simple. But the way they are worded in the instructions really makes me stop and think for a bit. So far it is turning out ok. Tonight I plan on sewing up the side seams and possibly finishing the hem. It depends on how spunky I feel.
Also I saw Avengers Endgame and now I have a lot of emotions. This week is going to be great.
