New blog post. Life is getting a little bit crazy, but I am still making stuff!

Started a new series over on my blog called Art Box. Each one will be a different discussion about various arty topics. I am starting out with a brief history of my art background, which is very short indeed. I also touch on getting over a fear of fine art, and how expressing ourselves through art is natural.
You can check it out by going over to the blog.
I am finally getting somewhere with this cardigan. Although, now I am onto sleeves, which is the slowest part of any garment for me. I lose interest so fast... all that shaping and decreasing. Not my favorite.
Got a little run down of what I made through out 2017. You can find it here: https://www.makinguselessthings.com/home/2017/12/11/2017-review
WIP's and FO's (December-January)
This is the first of a Bi-Weekly series I will be doing on this blog. They will be all about my most current FO's (finished objects) and WIP's (works in progress). I don't have a snappy name for this series, so if you have any ideas, comment them below!
I had a very interesting holiday break. I did not do knitted or crafted gifts this year. Just a lonely cross stitch stocking which I finished a month ago. So once the holidays rolled around I had a lot of time for knitting. I finished two pieces, and cast on one new one. I also ordered a lot of yarn during Black Friday, and saved all of it for opening on Christmas.
Flight to mainland Japan was typical, that is until we were clear of the ocean. Our pilot took advantage of the unusually clear weather and flew us close to Tokyo. We were so lucky to be sitting on the left side of the plane to see the incredible views.
Next we were offered many spectacular shots of Mt. Fuji. A mountain I never thought I would ever seen in my life time. Yet there is was, all snow covered, and welcoming us to Japan.
These certainly shots made up for the agonizing delay at the next airbase.
Hey, I started a blog about my adventures in Japan (and one day other places) Go check it out!
I will be posting once a week on my sisters blog Home Hearted. It will be all about knitting and crafting. My introduction post just went up, go ahead and check it out!
