Had a little snow day, finished sewing the edging on this jacket, and decided to wander around and test it out! This bad boy is so comfy and so warm. I am obsessed. I have been wearing it for a few weeks since these photos and it is serving me so well. It was worth the few broken needles, the mock-ups, and the time. I love it. Just out here living my best 70's inspired life.

Anyway, this was knit up with some stash yarn. Held a few strands together to get the right weight. Really happy with the results. Soft, warm, and really comfy. I could have made the ribbing around the face shorter. It does sit a little too snuggly on the chin. Easy fix for the next one I make. I would like a little looser fit, because the current look is a little too 70's knitting magazine if you know what I mean.
Cast this cutie off and the weather immediately warms up. Just waiting for a cold snap and then I will be bopping around in my new slick balaclava :)
I liked this pattern so much that I actually bothered to Youtube an Italian Bind-Off method to keep my edges clean. This baby is now cast off, blocking, and will be ready for wear in the morning!!!
Fell into the trap of following a trend :) I have been seeing these funky handmade balaclavas around lately and I thought it might be nice to have one. I followed a pattern by Petite Knit and used some yarn laying around in my stash. So far, obsessed!
