• Last name: 夏海, Natsumi: summer sea. Very straight forward!
• First name: まなつ Manatsu. I would say the most possible meaning for Manatsu is 真夏! It means the midsummer, peak of summer, or of full-summer

• Last name: 滝沢 , Takizawa / Takisawa: Taki ( 滝 ) means waterfall,  沢(sawa) is a very common suffix for last names, but by itself it means “swamp”. I would like to put a really interesting note here that both kanji character has a “water” element on the compositions
• First name: あすか Asuka. Asuka has so many ways to write it, but I assume it is trying to go for 飛鳥 (lit. flying-bird) instead of the more common form 明日香 (Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion takes this form); however, the “flying-bird” form is more common as a last name, so perhaps this is a pun!

• Last name: 一之瀬 , Ichinose A common last name! I assume they picked this name due to the word “ 瀬”, it means ocean currents! 
• First name: みのり Minori. Minori is a noun in Japanese (実り) that means fruit, crop, or harvest. It is a common word used in the phrase 実りの秋 (Minori no Aki); the phrase itself means harvest season / fruitful autumn. I assume Minori has gotten this name due to its association to her alter ego Cure Papaya!  Minori can be written in many ways so it is not weird to have a seemingly “noun” to be a name! 

• Last name: 涼村 , Suzumura - Suzumura can be broken down to Suzu( 涼 )-mura( 村 ). - Suzu ( 涼 ) itself means cool temperature; the word is definitely associated with the adjective 涼しい（Suzushii). This adjective means “cool / chilling” by itself, but it is very commonly used word when you feel a comfortable breeze or cold water during hot summer days! You would hear people say “ 涼しい !” when they want to express how comfortable they feel touching cold water / feeling chilling breezes in hot days.  - Mura( 村 ) means “village” byself. It’s simply  a common suffix for last names.
• First name: さんご Sango. Would be written as 珊瑚. This is indeed an object, and a little odd as a name, but this is Precure and it’s valid! A very straight forward name. Sango means coral! Simply as that!
