This place, which has existed since ancient times, is said to be accessible only to chosen villains.
Today, a new villain has once again been summoned to Arcanus Cella…
■ System
● To Become the Strongest, Challenge the Dungeons that Await in Arcanus Cella
One day, you are suddenly brought to Arcanus Cella, joining many other villains. Upon arriving, you and the others are told that you must play a death game for the sake of “world peace.”
To survive this dangerous death game, you must grow stronger. Train, gather items, and venture into the mysterious dungeon connected to Arcanus Cella in order to become the strongest villain.
Cladun X3 is a highly customizable and dynamic pixel art action RPG with a focus on hack-and-slash gameplay. Utilize a variety of weapons, magic, and actions to fend off the monsters monsters and traps that await you, and clear the dungeons!
● Utilize Various Weapons and Actions to Overcome Vicious Monsters and Dangerous Traps
The dungeons are teeming with vicious monsters and brimming with dangerous traps.
Monsters will attack you in real-time in the dungeons. Utilize a range of actions—attack, magic, dashing, jumping, sliding, defending with a shield, flying, and shifting—to swiftly and precisely defeat monsters and progress through the dungeon.
—How you choose to fight is up to you: deploy a magical barrier to nullify damage, or leap into fire to set yourself ablaze and deal heavy damage to ice-type monsters.
There are six equippable weapon types: sword, blunt weapon, staff, spear, bow, and dagger. Each weapon has its own specialties in terms of attack range and abilities, with skills that vary depending on your class.
—Blunt weapons can be used to destroy certain walls in dungeons, while the staff enables mid-to-long range attribute attacks and speeds up casting times. Each weapon type has unique actions that can be used to navigate the dungeon.
Various actions can also be used to bypass traps, such as sliding under laser beams, jumping over floor traps, or using charging enemies to destroy walls. The key to clearing dungeons is instantly determining the right action to proceed safely.
—Traps can be dodged by sliding or flying, but they can also be skillfully utilized to defeat enemies in one fell swoop.
You will find various equipment and items in the dungeon. Search for treasure chests to acquire powerful weapons and equipment to strengthen your character.
—Even equipment with the same name may have different quality levels or special effects due to titles attached to them.

- Can learn Magic Circles that instantly increases stats while money is scattered around the map.
● Set Up Your Party and Power Them Up! Magic Circles are the Key to Character Development
Magic Circles are a unique party formation system from the Cladun series, enabling a party of multiple characters to function in an action RPG where the player only controls one character.
The player-controlled character—the “main character”—is positioned at the center, while the “sub characters” placed around them provide support and boost their power.
—Placing special items in the Magic Circle activates the sub characters, allowing you to enhance the main character as much as you like.
There are over 200 types of Magic Circles, with some being four times larger than those in previous entries. Certain Magic Circles can support a party of up to 16 characters. New effect spaces have also been added, expanding the variety of power-up combinations.
In battle, sub characters in the Magic Circle act as shields, absorbing damage in place of the main character. As long as the sub characters stay alive, the main character won’t take any damage.
New Magic Circles are learned each time you level up, and the Magic Circles learned differ based on your class. For example, a wizard will learn Magic Circles that specialize in using magic, while a Merchant will learn Magic Circles that allows them to use money.
● Formidable Foes and Treasures Await in the Ever-Changing Random Dungeons (Ran-geons)
The Ran-geon is a 100-level random dungeon separate from the main story dungeons.
Each time you enter the Ran-geon, its layout changes. You’ll need to find either the “gate” to the next level or the “exit” to escape.
Every time you pass through one of the five randomly appearing gates, the monster levels increase, and elements like item drop rates are randomly changed.
If luck is on your side, you will enter a fever state, where items drop with every defeated enemy. But if you are unlucky, monster levels could exceed 1,000, turning your search for the exit into a nightmare…
Try out Ran-geons when you get stuck in the main story and need to level up, or want to dig up rare items to become stronger, or when you want to take on a challenge where life and death is on the line.
—Depending on the gate you enter, all of the enemies may become suddenly stronger, or your HP and SP may fully recover, making this dungeon a fun gamble. If you are not careful, you could be wiped out entirely!
Additionally, Cladun X3 offers a new type of Ran-geon called “Map-geons,” which can be generated using the “Magic Map.” Magic Maps can be obtained randomly by clearing the lowest level of a Map-geon, and can be shared with other players through the network.
● Challenge Dungeons with Your Own Customized Character
In Cladun X3, the main character that the player controls, as well as the sub characters that form your party, and the graphics for the characters’ weapons and armor can all be customized by the player, allowing you to challenge dungeons with characters all your own.
—Players can fully customize their characters’ appearance using pixel art.
—Use the “draw” tool to create original weapons and armor. With the introduction of flying in this game, you can now also draw wings.
—Your lovingly crafted customized characters will fight and explore as you play.
—The weapons they use and magic they learn is up to you.
—You can even recreate your favorite characters in the game.
The customization does not stop at character creation. Cladun X3 offers an enhanced music editor that allows you to create original background music. Since pink noise is also supported, you can also create rhythm instruments and sound effects. Tone definition, envelope definition, and macros are also supported, allowing you to create an even wider range of music.
—The possibilities are endless, like creating a theme song for your customized character.
● Share Your Custom Characters and Maps With Other Players<?strong>
With the new “network” function, you can create a town map that matches your custom characters and share it with other players. Not only can you create your own town graphics on the town map, you can play your own background music, place characters, and create the world to your heart’s content. After you have created your city map, be sure to share it with other players!
By creating and sharing a town map, other players can explore it and receive the Magic Map you have placed. By exchanging Magic Maps with everyone, you may be able to encounter a rare dungeon that you would never see by playing the game alone.
—Even players who choose not to create maps can enjoy exploring maps created by other players and collecting Magic Maps in “Auto Mode.”
In the Switch version, touch controls are supported for some features like the draw tool and map editing, allowing players to enjoy drawing even without the use of a controller.

■ About the Game
Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is an RPG set in Ivoire, a world made up of unique floating islands, that depicts the adventure of a young girl named Marona who can communicate with Phantoms, the spirits of those who have passed on.
The game’s appeal lies in its dynamic and versatile combat, allowing for free movement across a gridless battlefield. You can utilize unique systems like “Confine,” enabling Phantoms you have befriended to combine with and possess items on the map to fight alongside you.
Additional systems will broaden your range of strategies, such as “Confriending” Marona to a befriended Phantom with strong bonds to alter the course of battle, or “Confiring” Phantoms to gadgets on the map, like cannons and tanks.
You can also enjoy a plethora of side activities similar to those in the Disgaea series, including character creation with over 50 units, strengthening your favorite characters to their maximum potential, exploring random dungeons for leveling up and gathering items, and more.
■ Story
Ivoire—a world covered almost entirely with water, and dotted with islands of various sizes. In this world, humans, beast-people, magical beings, and all kinds of life coexist.
Marona , a girl who can see Phantoms, works alongside her Phantom partner Ash as a Chroma, a type of contractor who travels to various islands and solves people’s problems, upon request.
As Marona and Ash are returning home from a Chroma job as usual, disaster strikes. Their ship is attacked by a group of vicious ghost ships known as the “Shipwreck Fleet.” A mysterious masked man steals Marona’s powers, and to save her, Ash jumps into the hoard of enemies alone. Thus, Marona and Ash are separated.
After escaping the Shipwreck Fleet and washing ashore on an isolated island, Marona encounters a young Phantom girl named Apricot, who wants to reunite with her lost father —the captain of the Argento Pirate Crew who once defeated the Shipwreck Fleet. However, the crew is now on the verge of disbanding after losing their captain. Apricot wants to revitalize the crew and search for her father, and Marona agrees to help her.
To travel this region of the sea, which is filled with pirate territories, they must become pirates themselves and expand their own territory. Marona and Apricot decide to work together to revitalize the Argento Pirate Crew in order to reunite with those who are dear to them.
Set on the high seas, where pirates and ghost ships run rampant, this story about the bond between Phantoms and the girl who connects with them begins now!

■ Systems
A Free-Movement Strategy RPG
Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero features unrestricted movement in combat! Characters can move freely within a radius during battle.
The game is turn-based, with friends and foes alike taking turns based on their Speed stat. You can check the turn order on the upper right corner of the screen. Plan your strategy based on who’s up next!
Confine: Transform Objects Likes Trees, Rocks, and Swords Into Ally Units
Thanks to Marona’s power, allied Phantoms can possess (Confine) objects on the map, like trees and rocks, to participate in battle.
The deployed character’s stats will change based on what they’re Confined to. For example, if Confined to a rock, their defensive power will increase, but their speed will decrease. If Confined to a weapon, their attack power will increase.
A System with Unfathomable Strategic Depths
After a few turns, an ally’s Confinement will end and the character will be Removed—or withdrawn—from battle. Removed characters cannot be Confined again in the same battle, so think carefully about who you Confine, and when!
—If you choose the wrong time to use Confine, it can put you at a severe disadvantage in battle!
You can Confine objects deep behind enemy lines, objects around Marona to keep her safe, and more. The choice of who, what, when, and where to Confine makes this system rich with near-limitless possibilities!
Confriend: The Power of Bonds that Can Drastically Turn the Tide of Battle
Marona can use a special version of Confine called Confriend to allow an allied Phantom to possess her. By Confriending allies she has a close bond with, her stats will greatly increase!
In addition, special skills unique to Confriend will also become available. Unleash powerful attacks to completely turn the tide of battle!
—Marona’s appearance will also change, depending on the ally she Confriends with!
Again: An Additional Attack
When a Confriend skill is used to defeat an enemy, it will activate an Again! This allows a character to take an extra action.
Chain Agains to rapidly increase their stats! With this, it’s even possible to wipe out all enemies at once!
—Feel the thrill of defeating enemies in succession, all by yourself!
Confire: Unlock New Actions with Confine!
Trees and rocks aren’t the only things you can Confine to!
If Apricot is with you, she can airdrop robots, tanks with gigantic cannons, and flying Gadgets onto the map! “Confiring” to these can increase your attack range, let you suck in all kinds of objects, and perform a variety of other actions. Think of the strategic possibilities!
—Gadgets can be developed and enhanced at your base on Skullrock Island.
Different Maps Have Different Gadgets
On some maps, you’ll find Gadgets like cannons, catapults, fans, and even slot machines. When approaching these Gadgets, the player will be able to perform a variety of actions, and if a Phantom is Confined to one, additional special actions will become available. Gadgets could be the key to conquering these maps!
—Slot machines may contain rare items!
Abundant Character Growth and Post-Game Challenges
At the pirates’ hideout on Skullrock Island, your base of operations in the game, you can access a variety of features such as character creation to prepare for battles and challenges.
In addition to the familiar “Reincarnation” character customization feature from the Disgaea series, Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero also offers an “Awakening” option, which allows for easier character enhancement than Reincarnation, as well as the “Juice Bar,” which enables you to transfer EXP to the character of your choice.
Whether you want to dig deep into Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero‘s systems, or are looking to enjoy everything the game has to offer in a more casual way, these features are sure to satisfy!
There are plenty of other activities to enjoy on Dokuro Island as well, such as “Magical Synthesis” for item synthesis, “Marina” for customizing your pirate ship, exploring “Random Dungeons” to find rare items and titles, and much more!
A Plethora of Options to Play it Your Way
Equip items found on the battlefield, throw enemies in your way off the map entirely, stack characters on top of each other to reach high places, and more—these are just some of the cutting-edge features on offer!
For example, by lifting up an ally, you can use that ally’s skills, or even use the ally themselves as a weapon! The wide array of possibilities is sure to stoke the player’s imagination!

When you encounter the monsters that roam about the Drunken World, the fight will shift to a tile-based battle map. Combat progresses like a turn-based strategy RPG. Choose your actions while paying attention to the enemy’s weaknesses and placement, as well as terrain effects.
Strengthen Characters with the Power of Constellations
As you explore, you will obtain “Stella,” which are the powers of the constellations. By setting a Stella to a character’s skill, its performance can be enhanced in ways such as expanded attack range, additional power, or granting additional attributes.
There are around 130 different Stella that will randomly appear, and up to four can be equipped for a single skill, but all Stella will reset once your run ends. Try out different combinations of Stella for every run.
For example, by combining the Stella “Double Backstep,” which allows you to move back two tiles, and “High-Speed Firing,” which increases your power the further away you are from an enemy, you can create a skill that deals high damage while also keeping a safe distance from the enemy.
Smooth Conversation and Exploration Through the Power of Alcohol
By sharing drinks with the other regulars, you can gain effects that will aid you on your journey in the Drunken World.
—Stella Abyss has several regulars that come in for a drink. Talk to those that pique your interests and share a table.
The Patrons of Stella Abyss
The men and women of Stella Abyss. They will also appear in the Drunken World, where only those who “lost something important” are said to reach, and help out the protagonist.

Enjoy Conversation with the Regulars
By sharing a table with the regulars at Stella Abyss, you can enjoy conversation. There are four prompts you can choose from as reactions during a conversation, including “Agree,” “Disagree,” “Laugh,” and “Doubt,” as well as the additional option of “Drink” for a total of five options. Choose the most appropriate reaction to match the other person’s feelings and drive the conversation forward.
—If you make a comment that disrupts the flow of the conversation or offends the other person, the conversation will not flourish and your time drinking together will end.
