October is about a month and a half away, and so it is now time to reveal this year's Sonictober list!

As always, we shall start on October 1st, and the challenge will last all month. You can prepare in advance if you'd like. Art and fic are both encouraged! Just remember to have fun!

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether you’ve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they aren’t and therefore will act like they aren’t, but they are, trust me.

Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.

It’s not necessarily about who would be a good captain, but rather about who would pursue that lifestyle.

Shadow would not be a captain, he would work independently as a badass rogue stealing from ships and doing deals all on his own.

Rouge would be a captain and she would have a crew, but she’d treat them like cattle and only look out for herself. She would not treat them well or be a good leader.

you forget that she is the leader of team dark, and she is the mediator of team dark, and she is not selfish while still enjoying treasures to herself

she has self respect she is not a bad person

she is a very good leader, being aware of her own flaws and others, while caring about and being caring for mental states

she is a better leader than shadow could ever be

I think the problem is that Rouge simply does not get much dialogue or focus in the writing anymore, in either the games or the new IDW comic run, so people are just not even aware of her personality or team dynamic because they haven't seen it. Don't worry tho guys I'm here to show off what she's actually like when she gets the time and care put into her character:
