speaking of which, Magnussen is the Chief of the Daily Prophet... do you sense the drama and double-double toil and trouble? <3
sherlock once apparently sneezed so hard while practising some Tranfiguration spell that he set McGonagall's hat on fire, no he will not elaborate
Draco has a raven friend he named Sherlock after his cousin, because he misses him
Harry, Ron, and Hermione, however, also befriend the same raven... but named him Crowley for the lols
did you know that something tragic happened to Sherlock and John between their Hogwarts' 1980s graduation and 1997? yeah~
Blake being an American transferring to the UK is the best way to vent an outsider's frustration with the system, especially magic
here is me making Mycroft into the softest, most emotional and emotionally-intelligent character in the fic, yes i will elaborate (with following chapters). i like mycroft, okay? he deserves better, which is why he needs to much angst too
bewop! Jim Moriarty, another boy who is in the Lucky Seven gang is very good friends with Carl Powers. he also has a pretty bitchy sister Janine who is really into the pureblood bs, dilemma ensues
i should write more on the L7 but i dunno what exactly... hmm, also on patronuses and the magical system
oh!! yeah Greg is our lil' bean, but did you know he can rip guys twice his size into pieces? his half-blood heritage has to do with it!

Headcanons for my potterlock fic

(HP and the Adventures of SH) - to possibly implement

Sherlock gets weirdly passionate about Muggle history, especially Reneissance, knows random trivia about painters and sculptors
he and Greg develop an addiciton to Classic Who (=an excuse for me to binge it this summer) every time they’re at John’s
John has unspoken beef with the Muggle Studies teacher because they told him that Monty Python is mediocre comedy, it is never mentioned again only when John watches telly and he curses the teacher for their lack of appreciation
*always look on the bright side of life*
Blake (OC) and Luna love to discuss anything and everything over tea every Friday afternoon
Blake and Luna also include Draco
Draco joins them at first because he hopes to get dirt on Harry, but he grows to like and respect Luna and become protective of her (it takes time, but she will be a sister he never had to him) = they discuss various literature pieces, etc…
Draco deduces people for fun and has a variety of creative insults up his sleeve (guess who he got that from)
Harry likes Toblerones. a lot. try to take it from his cold dead hands and you’re hexed into next Wednesday
Sherlock and Hermione (in 1997 timeline) bond over general idiocy
Greg loves to bicker with Sherlock and be a frenemy to him, but he knows when to step back and help his friend get up and vice versa. FRENEMIES BUT FRENS
where is that tumblr post where a pureblood insults a muggleborn and he licks his hand and slaps the pureblood and starts singing Queen’s We Will Rock You? That’s John. Molly joins him. The whole Lucky Seven joins, as do other muggleborns. *chaos*
Hogsmeade but it’s free real estate for both 1980s and 1990s timeline and who gets more candy wins the others’ treats too and is given free butterbeer the next two times. it’s pointless and someone gets cavities but it’s fun
John: “Sherlock you can’t tell McGonagall her technique is getting slower it’s rude” Greg: “Jusging by how fast she was to zip his mouth shut that’s not true” Sherlock: *silent pouting*
Mary and Molly always are 2 steps ahead of the boys. girl power!
Hermione and Luna and Blake also have outings when she sees Blake is the nicest, most sensible dude around. she brings cookies and they practise those cute spells that conjure tiny birbs n’ stuff
Mycroft… man, he’s tired, and sad. so he stress-bakes muffins but never eats them because stress doesn’t let him. #projecting
Mycroft and Sherlock do have that sibling war going on, but do they?

HOWEVER, Sherlock and Greg do smoke; it’s another thing in common for them
John doesn’t know, until he catches them one winter while they stay at Sherlock’s and he goes to devour cookies and sees them smoke near the owlery
incredulity.exe = bitches them out for not knowing better
Redbeard likes to snooze in people’s laps. doesn’t matter he’s a big boi
there is going to be an attempt to put sex education in the curriculum for older years starting Year 5, because god knows wizards need it

ANYWAY, Mycroft has this quiet beef with Dumbledore. no i will not elaborate for the sake of mystery
sike, I lied! Mycroft doesn’t agree with Dumbledore’s wiling sacrifices once he deduces some of his plans, because let’s be honest, Mycroft is up to par here. he doesn’t get enough credit smh
speaking of which, Mycroft has a lot more on his shoulders than he should have, and that is a sacrifice *i* am willing to make <3
later on, Draco and Sirius will meet, they mostly argue about musical preferences
Sirius loves Queen, Draco thinks they’re mediocre at best, chaos ensues and Harry steers clear of the kitchen for a while
Ron and Luna can and will be bestest of friends, fight me
Luna might be odd by other people’s standards but her being extra for Gryffindor matches makes Ron cave in and talk to her more, it develops from there
Viktor Krum is a nerd, he can withstand History of Magic classes without yawning
krum and blake like to discuss magical creatures and also origins of their respective schools
Krum isn’t a tool smh give him credit ;-;
Fleur and Blake are besties, Blake actually wants to befriend his opponents because well, that’s the goal of the Tournament too and he’s too much of a perfectionist to let that go
Fleur teaches Blake and then even Krum and Harry some funny French spells

Mycroft and Anthea are the bestest of besties
Greg hangs out with Hagrid in Hogsmeade every now and then, they bond over their ‘half-breed’ heritage on occasion
Blake and Cedric in the Fourth Year like to compete, as friends
can i just say Hufflepuff-Slytherin duos are the best. there, i did it.
Draco is disillusioned by the fact that thee Harry freakin’ Pottah is friends with a muggleborn, duh, but we get a hint why this learned habit is as the story goes
Harry sometimes has odd dreams. they reference the ‘A Very Potter Musical’ no i do not take criticism
Greg and Mycroft have their own detective investigation in the works
Mycroft gets started on investigating what really happened at Godric’s Hollow in 1981, he believes Sirius is innocent
Greg agrees to help, and in the meantime Feelings™ develop
but who is first?

anyway, Harry has an easier time to dodge Bludgers in Quidditch matches because Vernon likes to throw stuff at him at Privet Drive when he gets angry
Draco fondly remembers his cousin Sherlock, and Mycroft gently tries to prod him in the right direction when the two are alone = he is trying to dislodge the pureblooded ideals from the boy
Blake and Draco begin talking over winter holidays where they meet at a Ministry get-together where Blake’saunt socialises with the Malfoys
Draco kind of likes him because he is similat to Sherlock, but much more sociable and extroverted
ANYWAY Mycroft is really suspicious of Dumbledore the more he hears about the Philosopher’s Stone and what is going on at Hogwarts. remember that Mycroft is the powerhouse of the GB, he is aware of a lot of things. he has spies with wings *side eye*

Blake is an Original Character I created for this fic, he is a new addition - his backstory includes being a transfer student from America, even though he was born in Britain he moved there with his Aunt (who will be revealed as a character from Sherlock eventually), and in his Fourth Year he came to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin

He is already in the fic in the state it is now as a 7th Year, but i decided to amend that and write him in sooner (hence the current hiatus), and in there, Blake in Year 7 and Hard in Year 4 both join the Triwizard Tournament as Champions :)

So he plays a big role! :D hope this helps :3

The Black-Lestrange-Malfoy-Holmes family is a combo you didn’t know you needed to keep up with like with the Kardashians
Walburga doesn’t like sherlock. he blew up a chandelier when he was 9.
john adores sherlock talking about magic, he gets lost during the explanations but that because sherlock is sooo pretty
Greg sees it but keep quietly third-wheeling
sherlock likes to observe john practicing Quidditch or Charms, which he’s excellent at
speaking of which, Sherlock is the best at Transfiguration and Potions, John rules DADA and Charms, and Greg is the best at Transfiguration, Herbology, and Charms
Sherlock has the biggest problem with patronuses because he tries to hide his feelings all the damn time
Anthea will be later important in the fic. she will help Mycroft out a lot, but for now in the 80s she’s a Curse Breaker. IMPORTANT. these two are a chaotic duo in their own merit, but not romantically
Greg and John like to test each other and race in summer on their brooms a lot, that’s it, just boys being boys
Freddie Mercury is part siren, which is why Queen songs are so memorable. David Bowie has veela heritage which is why he looked so darn pretty in and rocked every outfir he wore. we stan

speaking of which, Mycroft has a lot more on his shoulders than he should have, and that is a sacrifice *i* am willing to make <3
later on, Draco and Sirius will meet, they mostly argue about musical preferences
Sirius loves Queen, Draco thinks they’re mediocre at best, chaos ensues and Harry steers clear of the kitchen for a while
Ron and Luna can and will be bestest of friends, fight me
Luna might be odd by other people’s standards but her being extra for Gryffindor matches makes Ron cave in and talk to her more, it develops from there
Viktor Krum is a nerd, he can withstand History of Magic classes without yawning
krum and blake like to discuss magical creatures and also origins of their respective schools
Krum isn’t a tool smh give him credit ;-;
Fleur and Blake are besties, Blake actually wants to befriend his opponents because well, that’s the goal of the Tournament too and he’s too much of a perfectionist to let that go
Fleur teaches Blake and then even Krum and Harry some funny French spells
Magnussen is Umbridge but worse, you have to wait and see for this one though :))

Headcanons for my potterlock fic

(HP and the Adventures of SH) - to possibly implement

Sherlock gets weirdly passionate about Muggle history, especially Reneissance, knows random trivia about painters and sculptors
he and Greg develop an addiciton to Classic Who (=an excuse for me to binge it this summer) every time they’re at John’s
John has unspoken beef with the Muggle Studies teacher because they told him that Monty Python is mediocre comedy, it is never mentioned again only when John watches telly and he curses the teacher for their lack of appreciation
*always look on the bright side of life*
Blake (OC) and Luna love to discuss anything and everything over tea every Friday afternoon
Blake and Luna also include Draco
Draco joins them at first because he hopes to get dirt on Harry, but he grows to like and respect Luna and become protective of her (it takes time, but she will be a sister he never had to him) = they discuss various literature pieces, etc…
Draco deduces people for fun and has a variety of creative insults up his sleeve (guess who he got that from)
Harry likes Toblerones. a lot. try to take it from his cold dead hands and you’re hexed into next Wednesday
Sherlock and Hermione (in 1997 timeline) bond over general idiocy
Greg loves to bicker with Sherlock and be a frenemy to him, but he knows when to step back and help his friend get up and vice versa. FRENEMIES BUT FRENS
where is that tumblr post where a pureblood insults a muggleborn and he licks his hand and slaps the pureblood and starts singing Queen’s We Will Rock You? That’s John. Molly joins him. The whole Lucky Seven joins, as do other muggleborns. *chaos*
Hogsmeade but it’s free real estate for both 1980s and 1990s timeline and who gets more candy wins the others’ treats too and is given free butterbeer the next two times. it’s pointless and someone gets cavities but it’s fun
