The following is an exceprt from a flashback that will appear in my superwholock fic Reichenbach Falls (this weekend). It recounts ‘Two Minutes to Midnight’ from superntaural, Sam POV. It is s5 canon-divergent from that point on. It doesn’t betray any spoiler from the fic, it simply retells some of the events before the full canon divergence kicks off.
There’s more under the cut, the tone of this specific chapter is supposed to be more canon-specific to SPN, to kind of complement the Sherlock flashback, and the general tone of the fic til now. just keep that in mind
The next time Sam’s consciousness returned was minutes later, but the pain and illness showed no signs of leaving his body. He coughed, blood painting a splotch on the floor below him like an abstract painting. A sting in his fingers betrayed that he cut himself on the damn hunting knife.
A shadow passed by him, the nurse joining Pestilence in front of them. Dean struggled to regain sense of his body, withering on the ground in agony. Shudders shook them both, the never-ceasing motion sickness crushing and twisting them violently even on the ground. Even looking up at the Horseman induced a migraine so strong Sam thought the nurse dropped a vase on top of his head and broke it into thousands of pieces.
“Hmm. You Winchester boys don’t look swell,” Pestilence cooed. Sam coughed up more blood, the inside of his mouth tasting of copper. “Have you got a fever? Perhaps meningitis too, or pneumonia. What do you think, nurse?”
Sam blinked through the hair that fell over his eyes, chin dragging across the floor and smearing the red pool gathered under him into a thin line.
“Could be syphilis too,” she said sweetly, nudging Dean with his foot.
“Or herpes,” Pestilence added, walking up to them, clicking his tongue. “Such manwhores. It’s no fun at this stage of the sickness, is it?”
Pestilence bent over to crouch at their level. His long fingers combed through Sam’s hair, gripping to turn him around to face him. Sam blinked up at the man’s grinning expression, bones jittering just from that look alone. His insides entwined painfully, his stomach knotting into ropes, heart palpitating and pulse quickening.
“However you feel right now,” Pestilence said, “will be ten times worse. Much, much worse. Questions?”
He dropped Sam as fast he grabbed him, his skull hitting the linoleum floor hard.
Pestilence went to pump hand sanitiser in his hands. “Tsk, humans. You give disease a bad rep. People say how disgusting, smelly, filthy and chaotic it is. But in reality it describes them, wouldn’t you say? But the precision and purity of it often gets overlooked. It is very — one-sided. Just like bacteria. They have one purpose, to divide and conquer. We could agree that humans are very similar in nature. Isn’t it what you’ve been doing for centuries, in the end?”

“Dear, it’s always the accent that gives me away,” she winked at them. Then, turning to the road again, she said, “I take care of the Shack, plumbing, gardening, cleaning, that sort of stuff.”
“What? Isn’t that usually a man’s job?” Irene quirked an eyebrow.
“Usually, yes, but I am very versatile, I assure you. Besides, those are only a few of my skills, and it keeps me busy. Of course, sometimes my hips put up an act and I have to rest, but that’s nothing simple medication won’t solve. Plus, there’s always John to help. Greg’s great-great-great nephew thrice removed, or so I’ve heard. He spends the summers here, he’ll arrive tomorrow.”
Irene gave Sherlock an approving passing look and he nodded back. They both actually liked Mrs. Hudson.
“What are your other skills?” Sherlock asked suddenly, ignoring the mention of another occupant of the house he will have to share the premises with. A part of him squelched when he remembered that embarrassing conversation with Mummy regarding Lestrade’s nephew, however. God knew how Sherlock loathed the inevitable interaction already. Making ‘friends’ wasn’t really his forte.
Mrs. Hudson kept watching the road as they turned right from the Main Street.
“Oh, the usual,” she replied matter-of-factly. “Hunting, shooting, baking, canoeing, climbing, cooking, skinning animals efficiently, and knitting. Just the normal domestic work.”
Sherlock felt his lips curling into a genuine smile. Maybe this stay won’t be that dull after all. Irene seemed a little horrified, but she didn’t say anything to either doubt or disregard Mrs. Hudson.

EVERYBODY, another milestone has been reached. From 300 chapters, 3 seasons, the first third is almost finished.
20 episodes each divided into 5 chapters thus giving us the first 100ch are close to being done. Episode 19 has just been finished and posted, where the plot twist has been revealed. All that is left is to tie the first act down in the next 5 chapters. Then we begin season 2 Skyfall.
WITH THAT SAID, we also crossed 500k words!

#28. What is your favorite story or chapter title you came up with this year? This is a good question, because there were quite a few things that I've published in 2021, hm... superwholock or potterlock don't count because those have been here since 2020. For ~story~ it belongs to the Sherlock fandom - I really like Where the North Wind Meets the Sea because it is a Frozen reference that fits with the in-universe worldbuilding I'm kind of planning, even if a little changed :D it is merfolk/landfolk AU which was new for me since I've only ever read snippets, so I am completely going off of myself here with the magic and sea/land shenanigans, it is a breath of fresh air because I don'tbeat myself up with posting like with my other fics, and that is a nice change For ~chapter title~ the prize goes to the Supernatural fandom because I started publishing and writing the Take It or Leaf It series, which, from the very first installment, consists of flower puns! It is so much fun to build that separate and fluffy destiel flowershop AU world, seriously. I saw that 'fuck you bouquet' prompt, reserached flower puns and bookmarked a lot of sites and got to plotting. The separate parts could be technically considered chapters in a big scheme, so I'll take that and say that my FAVE so far of them 4 is You Can Poppy-n Anytime, simply because I mentally keep singing it to the tune of Hit Me Baby One More Time by Britney Spears :D

okay okay okay listen this is a very amazing question because there is so much I could talk about BUT I'll try not to write an essay (tho I love writing essays ask my former english lit professor - hi Nick! jk he doesnt have tumblr I hope)
So if I had to answer like what's the weirdest thing I've researched so far for a fic, I think it would be the thing of how baby centaurs look (for an unrelated, scrapped fic dialogue that was hilarious but also so unsuitable at the time) and there is a tumblr post and drawings around there somewhere
FOR A FIC THIS YEAR THOUGH. Listen. My dear listen :D I dunno if you read Reichenbach Falls, but if you do, you are in on the Nicolas Cage cameos/appearances, right? Well. That's the consequences of my own actions! I unironically enjoy writing in Nicolas Cage. He was supposed to be a one-off but he became so obnoxious I just had to include him (and is he really gone? we'll see) and along with that came an idea to put his cursed pictures into the notes/chapters
And the SINGLE. MOST.CURSED. PICTURE. is the one where he got photoshopped onto a weeping angel. That was SHEER COINCIDENCE that I found it, I was like hey I'll give it a try if not I'll just tell people to use their imagination and --- somebody did it. At this point I'm asking myself if it's weirder of me thinking to google it, or actually finding that somebody had already thought of it before me :'D My search history looked something like: 'nicolas cage weeper' 'nicolas cage weeping angel' 'dr who nicolas cage angel' 'angel nicolas cage' (that one has a movie attached to it smt like angel city?? I made a promise to binge his movies this summer for future references in the fic) 'nic cage photoshop' 'nicolas cage photoshop weird' 'puppet nicolas cage' (<- he has an animatronic movie too??)
So. Yeah. Nicolas Cage and his many abominable faces such as Queen of England or cats made it to the weirdest search history for my FBI agent Fred, I bet :D Here's barbie nicolas cage for anyone else randomly scrolling by:

There’s nothing more confusing and awkward as getting fanfic ideas for your friend’s fanfic. Like the inspiration is amazing - you can picture the characters in a sequel and everything, but it feels disrespectful (not entirely the right word???) to bring it up to them or show them potential creations based on it.
I just want to be like “Friend! You sparked my creativity and got me making this thing based on YOUR thing! Look, look! Do you like it?”
I’m not even talking about posting whatever, since that’d require a discussion with the original fanfic person to see if their comfortable with that and how they’d like to be credited/linked. I just get so anxious making the newly inspired thing and then DMing people with it. Yes, this is a private Google Doc between us. No, I do not feel calm in the slightest. I simply want to show you how talented you are! Why do I feel terrified?!
If anyone wants to write fanfiction about my fanfiction, DO IT. TAG ME. IT GIVES ME AN EGO.

In the newest episode of Reichenbach Falls, a superwholock fanfiction, the Doctor and Donna Noble return. The anomalies in the town are increasing in numbers, and as such there are rumours of weeping angel statues plaguing a nearby cemetery. The time travellers pay a visit to their friends at the Mystery Shack - John, Sherlock, and Irene, who have in the meantime made friends with Sam and Dean Winchesters and Castiel.
But the weeping angels aren’t the only challenge they will be facing in the upcoming chapters. Castiel’s grace is back, but is it really? This is where SuperWhoLock makes a comeback, as do Castiel’s and others’ powers.
It was the single most beautiful sight Dean had ever beheld in his life.
