Kelly’s arms spasmed and yellow rose petals went flying everywhere. “WE FORGOT THE CAKE! Oh my God, what now?”

“Jesus, chill!” Dean tried to calm her down, but Kelly looked both terrified and disappointed in herself.

“I am a secretary to a city hall member,” she said, facepalming, “and I forgot a birthday cake! I keep track of dates and what not to forget and this happens? I am a terrible friend!”

What in the… Dean snapped out of his confusion and tried to console her. “Kelly, listen. Shit like that happens. You know what’s a good thing?”

• Sam had been taken by Azazel for his hair and the properties, but I might narrow down how Sam got them without the deal Mary had made because a) this AU and b) I want my mama to be alive for once
• grew up in a tower with telekinesis and a talking shoe and a smol lizard as friends
• here, John Winchester doesn’t exist because I want none of that, instead, Mary is the Queen looking for her baby every year with the lampions and Dean is the Prince also grieving for the loss of his baby brother (okay there is a little bit of trauma because he blames himself, he and Cas are a thing too because sike some happy destiel for a bit)
• Azazel wants eternal life so I will give him that part of the tale for a bit
• Gabriel is a runaway but IDK who the other 2 goons could be, and I don’t want it to be other angels so that is open for auction
• Gabriel steals the crown for plot reasons (might change it) and wants to bail to an island because hey it’s chill, stuff happens, and he gets chased by Dean himself and eventually Cas too, and Dean is out for blood because no one messes with family heirlooms or his mama’s possessions
• hilarity ensues
• Gabriel stumbles upon Azazel’s hiding place eventually, cue Sam
• ofc this is intertwined with Sam and his life isolated from everyone and taking care of his luxurious hairdo and arguing with a shoe (THE SHOE IS VERY RELEVANT)
• Sam is confused but dependant on Azazel and is urged to use his powers a lot so he is quite proficient but when he gets nervous they stop working which happens a lot
• so when Gabriel enters he gets knocked the fuck out!

Cas stood up, needlessly dusted his shirt and straightened his collar, and went to greet the ensemble. Kelly gave him a nod, she threw her shoulders back as if getting ready to throw hands, blew out a breath, and opened the door. “Dean! And this must be Charlie!”

“Hi, Kelly,” Dean said, smiling at her, and then at Cas, sending him an air kiss. Cas pretended to catch it and put it in his pocket. “You’re right, this is Charlie, my best friend.”

“Nice to meet you!” the short girl said. Cas had seen her in pictures she and Dean took on some of their trips years ago when they travelled. She had red long hair, currently beautifully braided, and was dressed sportily. She had her own style that defined her, and comfy and practical was one one way to describe it.

“You as well,” Cas said, shaking her hand.

Charlie kept looking at him, smiling broadly, and then she said, “Wow, you’re actually taller than I imagined.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, Dean talks about you all the time but he makes you sound so cute I imagine someone my height!”

One look at Dean standing behind her revealed that he was very much blushing and ready to stutter if he were given a chance to speak. But Cas felt generous, and stepped aside to let Kelly lead Charlie to the living room to save Dean from being embarrassed too early on. When Dean came in and took off his shoes, he let himself be hugged and kissed as a welcome sign, sighing into it.

“Hello, Huggybear,” he said against Cas’ warm lips. “Sorry about that. Didn’t realise I made it sound like you might be a hobbit.”

“I don’t mind. Do you really talk about me that often?”

“He does!” Charlie shouted from the couch fervently.
