Some mermaid shibari from May.
I hope everyone is having a great Fin Friday!
Hello, my abyss dwellers! I finished my first (and perhaps only? I don’t know yet) Mermay piece for this year: a portrait of one of my newest creations, Leandros the zitiron. Half knight in armour, half fish. This character is barely a few weeks old and yet he’s already got so many nicknames… 😂 The latest one is “Canned Tuna”, and I’m laughing a little too hard at my own silly jokes. I’m really enjoying this photoshop oil brush, to be honest. I haven’t used it very much before, but it looks very painty! What do you think? Do you like it? As usual, take care, and stay safe. :D ~~~~~~~ Bien le bonjour, mes habitants des profondeurs ! J’ai terminé mon premier travail pour Mermay cette année (et peut-être le seul ? On verra). :D

🎁 😈 👼🏼 🎄 Show of Votes in the comments: Was I naughty or nice this Christmas??? - I decided to take a few days off of social media for Christmas to focus on myself, as well as, family and friends. We can sometimes get sucked into the technological world and forget to come out for air. So, needless to say, the past two days away from my phone and social media was an amazing escape back to the real world,… or as I call it,… Jumanji lol!!! - With that said,… Merry Christmas everybody!!! - @mermanthommy Tail by: @merrowfins Accessories by: @mermaidandmom Event worked for: @mermanjax of @darktideproductions Located at: @santamonicapier Photo by: @digitalfluke Shot on: @canonusa Edited with: @affinitybyserif - #merrychristmas #christmas #merrygoround #carousel #horse #seahorse #gaymen #gayboy #gaypride #lgbt #merman #neptune #model #modeling #人魚 #sirena #Meerjungfrau #mermaid #русалка #美人魚 #マーメイド #santamonica #santamonicapier #fantasy #cosplay #mermaidcostume #carnival #fair #memories #mermanthommy (at Santa Monica Pier) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6jFGcCHesP/?igshid=2tuuxm99srrj

Xocomil. A Mayan mermaid. This painting can be found as an original or a print in my etsy shop. Just click on the link ●https://www.etsy.com/listing/714038432/xocomil-the-spirit-of-atitlan-lesbian?ref=shop_home_active_22 The Xocomil is a water spirit who lives in Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. In the Mayan language, the spirit is not given a gender, but is usually assumed to be male. The Xocomil falls in love with young women, and takes them into the lake to be with them, where they die. One day, they saw a young woman bathing in the lake, and fell in love. Whenever she came to the lake, they made the waters still, like glass. Her parents saw that the lake was unaturally still and beautiful when she went to bathe, and realized that the Xocomil had fallen in love with her, so in fright, they moved away from the lake, so that the spirit would not steal their daughter and drown her in its waters. When the young woman stopped appearing in the lake, they became very angry, and to this day, when the waters of the lake become unexpectedly choppy and dangerous, they say that the Xochomil is angry at having lost their love. This is a queer version of that story, in which the Xocomil is painted as a Mayan mermaid, wearing the traditional headdress of one of the towns on the shores of the lake, while the young women has left her huipil, her hand woven blouse, on a rock as she bathes. A story of queer love in Central America. ●
