I’m very excited to share this with you all! I've been working on this piece for a while now- it's really been a labor of love. But lucky you, it could be yours! If you or someone you know loves nature or foxes, keep reading for more info sale details of this beautiful handmade autumnal wall/window hanger.
Materials include: a genuine deer scapula (found locally as a result of a natural death), leather, drop spindle spun and naturally dyed yarn, naturally dyed wool roving, birch bark, acrylic paint, metal findings, jewelry wire. A lot of work went into this- from cleaning and treating the bone myself to beating copper to spinning yarn to creating dye from onion skins, beets, and turmeric. I'm so happy with how it's turned out!
This piece can be hung on a wall or window. The bone is somewhat translucent so the painted fox really pops with light behind it. Dimensions are approximately 12" x 16". I am looking for $175 +shipping for this piece (US only unfortunately due to rules around animal remains).
