Captain May, A Funeral On The Ice; The Effects of Paraselena (Mock Moon), Franklin's Expedition. In 1845, two ships led by Sir John Franklin attempted to find the Northwest Passage. The ships H.M.S. Erebus & H.M.S. Terror became icebound in Victoria Strait near King William Island in the Canadian Arctic. Franklin and all 128 men perished.
