I love how Omega found her energy bow like a loot pickup in a video game.
Something something Clone Force 99 breaking binders in every season finale
Kamino lost
Hunter (and the others) mistrusting him. The Cavalry Has Arrived
Hunter (and Omega) fully trust Crosshair to make the shot.
Something something pouring rain and thunderstorm during that first standoff with Crosshair on Kamino in “Aftermath” and during that final standoff with Hemlock on Tantiss in “The Cavalry Has Arrived.”
Echoes of the past, of who we once were, but we can’t go back to the beginning, to the way things used to be.
Hunter: Are you free today?
Echo: *glares* No, I'm expensive every day.
omega, who has never seen or touched dirt before in her life: omg i love dirt its amazing!!
hunter, regular dirt sniffer:
he's still figuring that kid out
So was Hunter ordering Tech to leave him on Daro technically a Plan 99 move
Let's clear something up once and for all:
When it came to dealing with Crosshair in season 1, Hunter (and, by extension, the squad) made the right call.
Much as I keenly sympathize with Crosshair through the entire show, Crosshair wasn't mad at his brothers for not coming back to get him, he was mad that they didn't stay with him.
There is a difference.
If the squad had tried to go back for Crosshair in season 1 and somehow managed to fight their way through vast Imperial resources to get to their brother, he wouldn't have gone with them. When he wasn't under the influence of the inhibitor chip in season 1, he was fully convinced joining the Empire wasn't just the right move, but the only move. He makes it clear in the season 1 finale that he feels betrayed by them deciding against joining the Empire - to him, that is what indicates that they must be his enemies, not that they didn't come charging in on what would amount to a suicide mission to abduct him and forcibly remove his inhibitor chip.
Now, Hunter didn't necessarily know any of the above up until the finale - all we know he knew was that Crosshair was possibly being influenced by some strange programming that he couldn't control, but it was making him lash out and apparently try to kill everyone on the squad. What was Hunter supposed to do? Keep the rest of his team in the line of fire? Get the rest of his family killed - if not by Crosshair, then certainly by Crosshair's Imperial backup? Force himself and the rest of the team to act against their own consciences and follow Imperial orders just to appease Crosshair? Of course not - so instead, they run, they disengage, they show their love for their brother by NOT fighting him and by NOT treating him as an enemy that must be put down.
Hunter and the rest of the team always loved Crosshair, they always wanted him back - but in season 1, there was nothing they could do.
Hunter: Fuck it. Let’s go back to Kamino and adopt that kid.
Wrecker, Tech, and Echo: Adopt—? Yeah okay, we’ve done weirder shit.
Crosshair: With all due respect, which is none at this point, what the fuck is wrong with you
Crosshair really said, “Kids aren’t your area of expertise” and Hunter took it personally lmao
