Not only has Darth Vader been repeatedly thwarted by a teenage girl, he considers her nothing less than a serious and worthy adversary. Darth Vader leaned in. 

I wish we knew more about their previous encounters though, be funny as all hell to see how she pulled the wool over his eyes multiple times.

Now that I think about it, I’d like to imagine it all started with that stunt she pulled on Lothal in Rebels because she made it sound like she’d participated in shenanigans like that before. However, that one got Vader’s attention because of the Ghost Crew’s involvement, so after that he kept a close watch on Leia, which resulted in the run-ins they’re referencing in A New Hope.
