When I initially drew this comic for this series, since Zak, Wes, and Prij of SaveDataTeam were in the middle of the first Great Ace Attorney then paused that to continue the Phoenix Wright trilogy, I decided this series would take place between games 2 and 3 of the original trilogy, and Ryunosuke and Susato were brought to the future from between cases 4 and 5 of their first game
There are two characters in the entirety of Ace Attorney I desperately wish could interact
It took until Part 4 of the investigation to actually look at the crime scene...this case is LONG (this is not a complaint)
Susato is one kf the best characters of all time by the way. Also I love Gina too she's such an interesting character

Alright but like...why did Iris lie that she was John Wilson. Why did Ryunosuke not catch that lie. John Wilson was the victim in case 1. Ryu you were the defendant in that case I feel like you should remember that. Idk man this game keeps giving me questions
Ace attorney takeover
if you, like herlock, know a smattering of japanese, you may be thinking, "minister of justice jigoku? is that a sign?" i'm sure it's fine. i'm positive it won't come back to haunt us later
TGAA's blood curse at the end of case 1 is actually the funniest thing in the series. "Okay this is a prequel but we're not going to have any hard continuity to the main series, only oblique references here and there- OH EXCEPT PHOENIX'S FAMILY AND THE PAYNES HAVE BEEN BEEFING FOR OVER A HUNDRED YEARS. YEAH IT WAS SO BAD KAZUMA MADE A SACRED VOW ABOUT IT." He specifically curses Auchi, not on his own behalf, but for Naruhodo's lineage. Doesn't even have to be biologically related! Susato pretends to be related to Ryuunosuke in game 2 and that is thematically recognized as fulfilling the requirements of Kazuma's vow in the first game. A century and a whole country away, Apollo has the narrative weight to beat a Payne, and he is Phoenix's adopted daughter's half-brother. This family literally goes to a whole other country to escape the Naruhodo clan, and still can't shake them. Twice.
I 100% choose to believe that since magic is real in the aa universe Kazuma managed to actually curse an entire bloodline. He has no idea the far reaching consequences of this. He did this accidentally through the sheer power of Gay Love and A Really Cool Sword.

So my favourite Ace Attorney thing is when they give characters with a mentor/mentee (or a familial) relationship matching sprites. I don't know, Iris and Sholmes' matching sprites are just really cute.
