This just in: Kalinda Sharma has joined the NYPD! Former Good Wife star Archie Panjabi is returning to the small screen this fall on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The Emmy winner will guest star as Lieutenant Knox, a police officer who has her eye on Joe Lo Truglio’s Detective Boyle. She’ll appear in Season 3’s second episode, slated to air Oct. 4.

Archie Panjabi and Anna Chancellor have joined the cast of BBC One’s drama Shetland, the series led by Douglas Henshall who plays detective Jimmy Perez, as he investigates murders on the eponymous Scottish archipelago.

Quite how she will be written out isn’t yet known. But for Archie, it will mean the fulfilment of her Hollywood dream – she’s been signed up by another studio in LA that is developing a new show for her, and she’s about to move there.
“I have had this craving for the past year or so, of wanting to unzip the boots and go off in search of my next footwear. I don’t have any expectations or ideas of where I’m going. It’s a question of developing and finding a script and a character. I have to take the risk, because risk is the vital ingredient that flavours success.”
