I think moving forward we need to work to bring back decency. The absolute erosion of basic decency is one of the things that both helped this happen and is made worse by this. Idk if it will help much or on a grand scale, but i think, just in terms of prefigurative work, creating the world we want, that it's important in and of itself. So I'm going to try to start going out of my way to hold doors for people, say thank you and please, pick up trash, offer to let people go in front of me, etc. It will have no reward, but I want to live in a world where people are decent to each other, and treat each other well, and the only way that will ever happen is if we just start doing it, so I'm going to start.

with all the talk about DIY HRT, let’s also talk about stocking up on mifepristone and misoprostol (the abortion pills). it’s worth knowing the right dosages, how to use it safely, and keeping some on hand. better to have it and not need it than the other way around. the shelf life is (at least) five years.
having abortion pills accessible is just as vital as HRT, especially with both potentially at risk of restricted access.
getting them in advance can be life-saving for you and others around you.

I know all the posts about how to stockpile hrt come from a good place but yall. Stockpiling T on purpose is a felony and its not one i judge you for but...STOP admitting it out loud on your blogs frankly and with none of the "teehee THEORETICALLY" shoplifter blogs used to have. Im seeing people talk abt the stockpiles they already have AND their plans to share it and my guys... this website WILL give your personal info to the government if subpoenad. Idk that its LIKELY but I know itd be embarrassing as hell to go to JAIL for felony possession of controlled substance w intent to distribute bc you couldnt stop yourself from YAPPING on a fucking tumblr post and then mr hammers gave your email and login ip to the cops. Seriously though, shutting up is vital but I'd also highly recommend not fucking around this way. Pharmacies track this. Insurance companies track this. I look at people's prescription info every day I work. It goes back years, and it's very detailed. If I saw something suspicious, no I didn't - but not everyone with this information is trustworthy or on our side.
It's not fair or right that T is controlled and E isn't, but don't risk that heat, not with things as they are currently.
People who want to discriminate will absolutely behave maliciously about necessary prescription medication. My friend was literally charged with possession of amphetamines with intent to distribute because of having his ADHD meds on him and some cops wanted to fuck up his day (he got the charges dropped, but still—he got arrested over it before that could happen!). Please don't take risks on purpose and especially don't talk about it.

Just to be clear, Kamala conceded with grace and dignity but it is still well within everyone’s right to demand an investigation and even a recount with due cause despite a winner being declared. U.S.Americans have the right to demand free and fair elections (we don’t have a right to, say, start an insurrection like certain people did after the 2020 election).
Many, including major swing states, (Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and more) have already admitted to data and ballots not being recognized or lost and are recounting or calling for a recount. It usually takes days to count and record votes, a day after a bunch of election tampering is not enough.
If you used a mail-in ballot and haven’t yet, check if it was actually counted and “recognized.” A lot of mail-in voters from swing states found out that their ballots were uncounted today.

My aunt who voted for trump in 2016 and who's husband is a proud MAGA sent me a Snapchat late last night saying she is one of the women who secretly voted for Harris.
A former friend from college who used to be deep in the Republican party posted on Facebook yesterday that he voted for Harris.

hey let's start spreading the reminder now that you cannot safely self-manage an abortion with herbal medicine or essential oils. natural abortifacients function by poisoning you; you wait for your body to realize you're dying and reject the pregnancy in order to conserve resources, and hope that happens before the rest of your organs shut down.
i think there will be an upsurge soon of unscrupulous and/or malicious actors preying on desperate pregnant people; do not help them kill people. don't spread recipes for herbal medicines or ingestible essential oil mixtures that purport to cause a pregnancy termination.
Also if you go the coathanger method, GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT. You can't properly see what you are doing down there unless your back can bend forward way further than most people's, and will most likely stab yourself. Prevention is way better than cure. Milder herbal remedies can decrease the likelihood of pregnancy happening in the first place but they're highly unreliable and if you are already pregnant it will likely do not-good things, so your best option is probably the BC implant. One of my friends suggested refraining from PIV altogether, which might be a little more drastic than you'd like, but it's way less drastic than dying.
Why the fuck are you insinuating a desperate back-alley abortion method with a high risk of hemorrhage, sepsis, permanent damage/infertility and DEATH is acceptable if you do it with a buddy??? Stop doing this! Educate yourself about options that aren't scraping out an organ with an unsanitized wire! Educate yourself about effective birth control methods other than the implant or abstinence! Find out who your regional abortion funds are and how to securely communicate with them! This is not speculative fiction. Talking about deadly methods like they're remotely reasonable is completely unacceptable.

I know it's like. Cringe and naive and not good leftgressive thought but I really have been a true believer in the promise and idea and dream of the united states of america my whole life. I know the reality has always been at best complicated and at worst evil, but I was deeply attached to the ideals of multiracial democracy and pluralistic, caste-less society. And I thought my fellow citizens were attached to that too, even if we disagreed on so much else. And now it feels like i need to sit shiva for those ideals and that dream and that promise. I never thought of myself as a patriot but i did love my country. I wanted it to be the best it could be and live up to its potential. And now it's going to die a not-very slow death because it turns out most of us either didn't care about those ideals or actively hated them, or at least disliked the idea of a woman in charge more.
This country just had to fail Jimmy Carter one last time huh

On twitter I’m seeing dozens of threads from Black activists warning people against burnout, giving all sorts of useful tips about preventing and managing it for the sake of a long-term, sustainable effort.
On tumblr I’m seeing a hell of a lot of young white kids yelling at anyone who actually follows those steps, and acting like burnout is a moral falling rather than a well-proven psychological phenomenon.
Be careful who you get your information from. Don’t let guilt lead you to make choices that will harm both you and the movement.

Additionally, some states have "trans sanctuary" executive orders signifying safety for trans folks seeking healthcare. These states are:

Living as a resident in these states means you are protected by state's rights and state government to continue or begin receiving trans healthcare. These laws have been codified in their states so everything has been a-ok'd by their state governments.

If you're trans and you don't have a passport, get one. right now. not in a month, not in a week, get started on it today.
This is the one thing that I would definitely do regardless of state. For those not in the know, a passport is the way to get an easy name or gender marker change onto your ID without a court battle, and that is highly dependent on the Federal administration.
Based on the last 3 presidential elections I think we can definitively say running a woman is political suicide. The left won't back a woman and moderates will not show up for a woman, regardless of how good she is, how progressive or moderate, or how incompetent or heinous her opponent is. It brings me no joy to say this. This is a deeply misogynistic country.

This is a reminder to:
- Never mention a possible pregnancy/abortion to anyone, especially not through a social media app messaging service such as messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Snapchat, etc.
- Delete all period tracking apps and to start tracking using a planner or physical calendar
- Book appointments for a form of birth control if possible, or to always carry condoms for yourself and other
- Look into sterilization options if that is the route you want to go down (here is a list of 1000 doctors willing to sterilize you without a fight)
- Protect your fellow person, protect the women in your life, the queer people, the disabled people, everyone will be affected by this
Form communities. Tell your people that you love them. Protect one another. Check in on one another. None of us are alone.
