This was also a picture for the challenge. The task was to draw either a cover for a comic, or just a poster illustration. I had this comic idea in mind for a while now, so I decided to draw it. The demon possessing Lars named Pyrexin (meaning feverish state. This one actually changes gender, depending on the host AND the preferences of the people they want to lure and possess next. The female shape calls themselves Carnality. Meaning lust. They use the host’s body to either drain of life power, or to attract people to have you-know-what. The fact that this demon has two states AND names is not uncommon, young ones often need some time to settle in with who they are. This also makes the process of exorcism much harder, because you need to know both names to have some power to overcome the demon.). Pyrexin is a child of Febris. And Lars is not having a good time in this story, he suffers a lot through it...
Lars went through a lot of possessions. By ghosts and demons, but the most dangerous one by far was Febris (he calls himself KeAl and usually introduces with this name, because knowing the real name of the demon is giving some power over him, to the person who knows it.). Febris is a so-called “floral” demon, it has less to do with the fact that they appear to love plant and flower themed things, and more with the fact that they “grow” inside their host and then “bloom”. Killing the hosts in the process. They drain human’s health and power, causing a fever, apathy, delusions, pain in the organs where they decided to “plant” themselves. Depending on a person they can die within a week or two days, if they’re weak or small. Lars managed to get through the possession with Marcus’s help, but Febris had time to “plant” his son in Lars’s soul...
Marcus swears a lot. His favourite cuss word is "damn". He knows he should not swear - what, with working with paranormal activities and knowing that demons exist - but can't help it. Lars could gather many jars filled with money, so all Marcus's salary would be gone because of constant penalties. What a loser. HA. Though Marcus usually is never afraid of paranormal things, Japanese ghosts scare the hell out of him. He had bad history meeting some of them for the first time, during his trip to Japan. Japanese ghosts are the creepiest on the Edge's scale.
