Tomorrow comes tomorrow

Madd and his mask of an Unyielding Lion. Behind cold headed bravery and powerful decisions hides paralyzing panic and fear of making mistakes. 

Madd is a complex character, with deep traumas and troubles. He’s been through a lot and it seems that life just keeps throwing at him even more problems. His coping mechanism is not a healthy one, whenever he’s able to use it... Madd either shuts down, ignoring and bottling up his fears and acts cold, rude and unemotional. Either he blows up with anger and fury, like a cornered animal, he turns back to bite and claw (rip and tear, heh), under the state of affect.

It’s hard for him to open up, since he was burned before. (Suddenly, I realise that this statement on itself is a PUN, because Madd got literally burned by a flake of fire, on his left hand. But also a person he liked died almost right after they opened up to eacher about their feelings...Sooo.... Yeah).

Madd and Pax, kicking some ass. They have very different opinions on fights and murder. Pax is all about getting in a fight, he likes the adrenaline rush, but rarely loses his head to the point of being in a blind rage. He kills whenever it’s necesarry, but never thinks twice about it - if it needs to be done, he will do it. People, animals, monsters - they’re all the same if they’re against him, trying to hurt him or his friends. He was in the army, in a special group called  S.R.R.U.“Flock”. (special rapid reaction unit). They were taught to kill. Madd, on the other hand, doesn’t enjoy fights, he always tries to go a pacifist route whenever it’s possible. But he has a really bad temper, so he gets annoyed and irritated too fast, and most of the time doesn’t hold his tongue. He has anger issues. He tries to avoid fights (often unsuccesfully). When something endangers his loved ones he goes into berserk mode and destroys everyone and everything that stands in his way.

Pax and Madd gathering wood, to heat up the house they’re live in. After the local apocalypse in their country, they had to leave the overrun city and run far away from it. They settled in a little empty village, where is almost no electricity - like, if you’re lucky and have found a bit of gasoline, you can run a little generator, for some time... But to heat up the house, you have to burn wood. That means you have to go to the woods, cut down trees and\or gather twigs and branches. And they live in a nothern country, that means the winters there are wild and harsh.

I love winter... I mean, I love to look at it, from inside of the house, where is warmth and plaids, and hot tea.

Madd is being depressed... Every winter it strikes him, really hard. Because the snow, falling from the sky, looks like ashes. Huge flakes, looks gray against the light and dim sky. And it reminds him of the past, when the cataclysm happened, when he lost a dear friend... So Pax just tries his best to be close and make the pain go away.

Offtopic - I still haven’t moved. But I’m doing the inktober thing, though, I don’t have my scanner right now, so I post everything on the instagram (bad quality photos), I’ll scan everything and post it here later...

I didn't knew what clothes to draw actually... Cuz... I dunno, my brain died at that moment. So, Paxton (big guy with a tattoo) and Madd (redhead shortcake) usually wear a bunch of layers of clothes, very worn-off, stitched and old, since they live in a postapocalyptic world. But before that, before everything around them went to shit they wore casual clothes, sportsy or something like that. Simple, ordinary clothes. Pax liked baggy sport clothing and leather jakets, military things. Madd used to wear classic clothing, very strict, or oversized sweaters. But it was long time ago, and I don't actually draw them in their normal outfits that often... I could make this picture a bit different and funny, I guess, now that I think about it. But, when it was drawn, I wasn't thinking about it too hard, and I was too serious about it. I'm very serious about my OC's, and don't really draw them in stupid situations. Me, myself - I can laugh at, and make fun of my own persona. But, the kids are sacred. I'm way too cruel to them already }X )

Aftermath of second part of the story. Everything went to shit in the spring time... So true.

Madd and Pax. They were looking through old boxes in the attic and Pax has found an old camera, so he couldn't resist and used it. Too lazy to write down everything else...

Day 19. I was feeling sick today, so to comfort myself I drew this. Sleeping people. Yep. I don't know what's up with me and sleeping people, I guess I can explain, but I'm too lazy to do it, and it's kind of obvious. Pax and Madd napping under the bridge. They were traveling all day and both got really tired, plus Madd was hurt, so they had to make a halt and rest a bit. Luckily for them - they were far from the city, and thus, from danger.

Day 15. I wanted to draw something different from this, but... Ech, another time I guess. This is Madd. I have a complete comic about him, but since I'm a lazybones - I haven't fixed the pages yet, and never uploaded it anywhere yet. Well, I uploaded a first bunch of fixed pages here
