Thomas Borchert in Tanz der Vampire
Using a gothic vampire musical to promote a blood drive? BRILLIANT!
Tanz der Vampire, my friends.
mein herz ist dynamit, dass einen funken ersehnt….
Thomas Borchert in Tanz der Vampire.
Das Korn war golden und der Himmel klar…
I believe this is Thomas Borchert from the Stuttgart production of The Phantom of the Opera in Germany. The image almost looks like a still from a hi-res proshot video ... which I would love to see if that is the case since Thomas is one of my favorite Phantoms. Anyone have any idea if this might be a video still, and if so, where one might view said video? ;)

Alexander Klaws, Lucy Scheer and Thomas Borchert at the premiere of "Tanz der Vampire" Theater des Westens. Classic Tanz style.
I've decided to start a Daily feature* on my blog called 'Suitable Phantoms', featuring photos of actors who have played The Phantom of the Opera in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical - wearing suits. Because I am shallow. Because who doesn't like men in suits?
Thomas Borchert is a major name in the German musical theatre scene, and has performed as the Phantom in Hamburg and Essen. He is also well-known for his performances as Count von Krolock in Tanz der Vampire.

Thomas Borchert, Anne Gorner, and Nikolaj A. Brucker in the ‘Final Lair’ from The Phantom of the Opera, Essen production. A little bit gets cut off at the end.
One of the best Phantom Final Lairs I've seen. I love Thomas' gorgeous voice, and his characterization. Anne Gorner does some great things as Christine, too.
Why don't these things happen when I go to take a bath? ;)
Woooooww…
can we go to berlin now?
I second that motion! This reminds me, I really should get back to work on finishing my Locky costume sometime...
