In episode ten they have to deal with the fact that Carl is no longer with them. They also have to deal with the fact that they’re leaving their home. They’re leaving his gravesite. They have to move on. For Rick, I think his grief is too great to know what to do with his emotions, and for Michonne, I think that she is trying to somehow begin to feel her way into what Carl really wanted.
