Anonymous asked:

why arent you a feminist?

Because it doesn't exist to solve problems anymore. It manufactures and creates problems in order to justify its own continued existence so the people making money off it don't lose their cash cow.

Even in places where feminism would still be needed, an egalitarian focus on men and women's issues would serve better. Because in the 3rd world, men and women have issues. And maybe women have bigger issues, but focusing on women and ignoring the still damaging issues the men have will just cause more problems.

Look at how boys and men are just failing out of school now compared to girls and women. We're seeing the results of this kind of thinking right now in our society.

Trixie Tang breaking down the fundamentals of equality and gender roles

It is already much more acceptable for girls to do boy stuff than it is for boys to do girl stuff. Gendered activism made that happen decades ago.

Femanesia strikes again.

Also, it sure is funny how SJWs imply benefiting women will automatically benefit men, but regularly oppose people who try to help men without adhering to mainstream feminist dogma.

Also also, notice how the onus, in these screenshots, is on men to act in order to benefit women. Not women helping themselves. If OP’s interpretation is correct, they’re saying feminism wants men to protect women.

i have just one thing to say about all this…

remember how most of yall treated the bronies.

The instant assumption was that they were all pedophiles. Imagine if girls got that treatment for something innocuous as liking Transformers.

I still hate this stupid trickle-down equality idea.

Heck, these same type of folks seem to convince themselves women are new to fandom and geeky interests every other week, just to complain about supposed trolls.

Men have almost always welcomed women into niche interests. Tavletop gaming, video games, anime, comic books, etc etc etc. SJW types pretend that those have been hostile spaces until recently, but the thing is, those have only been hostile spaces to self absorbed and narcissistic ideologues, because those things are not about YOU, they’re about sharing a love of that interest.

On top of that, every time SJW types were let into those interests, they took them over and made them hostile to the original fanbase. Tabletop gaming has gone to shit. Video games have gone to shit, comic books can barely sell anymore, movie theatres were losing money even before Covid hit, Star Wars and Star Trek have both become toxic and insulting to the original fanbase and stories. It’s terrible.

A Message to Anti-Feminist Movie Goers:

Any movie starring a woman should have her dealing with and overcoming situations of inherent cultural and societal sexism. That doesn’t make it political, it just makes it realistic.

Umm why? I have to say I encounter extremely little sexism to overcome in my day to day life and can probably count on one hand the instances in which an individual has been sexist towards me. So no, not having it in a movie doesn’t make it unrealistic. If you keep having people be sexist in a film it’s way more unrealistic than the other way around, - depending of course on location and time.

Some women really want to claim that they spend every minute of every day as a victim of systemic sexism, and that’s their business. But to bolster their claim, they want to project that onto every woman everywhere, and it’s not true.  Speak for yourself, sis–not every woman is battling systemic sexism every single day, and if your movie stops the narrative dead to climb on that soapbox it doesn’t make your movie realistic to women.  Every woman does not see themselves in your proclaimed struggle and need to have it shoved into every female in media’s story to feel validated, because it is not their lives, so it does feel hamfisted and preachy to us.  Judging by box office, more women disagree with you than agree.  Important takeaway, even if you do battle daily with sexism yourself guess what?

SYABM comic 52 ‘Rodger, Rodger”

Special guest star, @hominishostilis, with permission. I did not ask him about the following text, however.

The Isla Vista mass murder is probably one of feminism’s biggest failures.

According to them - and the mainstream press - Elliot Rodger was nothing but a misogynist killer. Heck, they even managed to claim he was an MRA. And of course, they started the #YesAllWomen hashtag.

Except if you look at the actual facts, you’d realize men came off worse. Feminists ignored 4 dead men to make women the Real Victims™. >We Hunted The Mammoth/Manboobz said the higher number of men dead were because Rodger was “forced to improvise”<, even though Rodger’s first victims were his two male roommates, and he had Googled how to stab them to death. >And he did, in fact, hate men<*.

Rodger did say women rejected him, but he also claimed he was outright bullied by girls who pretended they were interested. Oh, and abused by his stepmother. If this sounds a lot like the “a man hurt me so I hate all men” rhetoric spouted by feminists like Hannah Gadsby, and who knows how many tumblrinas, you’re very perceptive.

Heck, most victims of murder and assault are men. If feminist women want to say the possibility of those crimes justifies their misandry (EG “women are scared men will kill them for rejection!”), men should be even more afraid of other men.

Where did the MRA allegations come from? >One article at the DailyKos that mistook Rodger for an MRA<**. One single person, and “respectable” publications >like Mic< and >Slate end blindly repeat it<. And then >the Woozle Effect< kicks in, and people believe it just because other people say it and it’s ideologically convenient.

Heck, these days Rodger is an “incel”. Instead of being used to blame MRAs or toxic masculinity, his memory is used to demonize men who are already marginalized, the latest boogeyman. I’m honestly surprised nobody managed to blame him on Gamergate.

In short, feminists could not have chosen an incident which would self-own any harder, and show how little they care about men. Including dead ones. They just used it to attack their enemies and push the usual victimhood nonsense.

* Some say that doesn’t count, because Rodger only hated other men because they were competition for women. Because apparently that makes it not-hate, somehow? ** >The Kos was still claimed Rodger was an MRA as late as 2016<, incidentally. And took WHTM as gospel, even though Futrelle is a whiteknighting malefem liar.

i can’t stand anti feminist women

seriously

they’re so grossly uneducated about feminism

i don’t know if they’ve been raised by their misogynistic fathers

or if they just choose not to stand with feminism and with their own sisters, mothers, aunts because they want to appeal to men or just be not like the other girls

but it’s so ridiculous and upsetting

i just want to know who hurt you tbh

I’d tell you but I have to go to my secret patriarchy meeting that you’re not invited to, sorry.

I have a minor in Women’s Studies. It was getting that minor that led me to leaving the feminist movement.

Can’t really be sure which part made me leave but I had a lot to choose from:

-massive victimization complex and culture

-condescending bullshit (much like OPs)and elitism, usually coming from someone from Western, middle-to-upper class privileged backgrounds

-pretending that inconvenient parts of their history didn’t exist (rampant racism, homophobia, eugenics, ableism, transphobia).

-promotion of history by “scholars” who wanted to provide either scary horror sound-bites (”The Burning Times” “rule of thumb”) or feel-good fake history (the idea of a giant overarching ancient feminist matriarchy where everything was perfect until PATRIARCHY).

-pushing of the “right” literature and the “right” authors

-rampant anti-Christianity, especially against the Catholic Church. All others got a free pass.

-idealization of lesbianism as the epitome of feminism, while simultaneously ignoring actual lesbian issues

-aggressively promoting limitless free sex, even if it meant supporting birth control methods known to be harmful, pretending STDs are minor issues, making up statistics and using figureheads to promote abortion, which is always perfect

- condenscending feminist pseudo-colonialist behavior towards non-Western countries. They are either overly idealized and ignore anything bad coming from them, or passive-aggressively lecture them on “women’s health”, making sure village health centers have plenty of MVAs for abortions and Depo-Provera kits but no mosquito nets to prevent malaria

- Want to have kids? If the anti-child rhetoric doesn’t sway you, Here’s some heavy-handed anti-medical propaganda and promotion of birthing like you’re in the third world, regardless of you or the baby’s ultimate health.

Well, I will take some of that back, there were two classes I took for the minor that were worthwhile.

Women and Minorities in the Media, which focused on actual real-time strategies that people could do to move things forward, encouraging action instead of passive complaining and protesting. Like challenging feminist rhetoric

Medieval Women’s History, where I learned that, for a supposed backwards oh-so-evil Catholic Church that hated all those strong women, they sure produced and revered a lot of strong women that did fantastic things. That class was also a major factor in me leaving Wicca and becoming a Catholic, but that’s another story.

Why do so many feminists, who agree Freud was a sexist psycho, always default to “sorry your daddy oppressed you.”

Fucking really?

My dad, whose mom was a WAC in WWII and came from a family of tough Italian women, taught me how to fish and camp, helped me with my Girl Scout projects, and volunteered for awhile at a domestic abuse shelter helping battered women.

What’s your dad done? Shit, honey, what have YOU done?

it’s people like you why I left the feminist movement. Look in the mirror - there’s the problem. Lies, misdirection, gaslighting, victim-blaming, willful ignorance and absolute refusal to even CONSIDER AND LISTEN to constructive criticism.

That’s pretty much why I left as well. The constant bullying and ostracizing and cultish attitude was just too much. Say the wrong thing and bam, they throw you under the bus and expect you to grovel at their feet for forgiveness, and they won’t give it, but they’ll make you think they will. I saw that too many times and refused to play the game. Glad I ditched them. I don’t need more abuse in my life.

I wish feminism was still the cute little thing I thought it was when I was 14 and it was just girl positivity and teaching girls to love themselves because that was really great. As I got older I realized that it was just hypocrisy and over sensitivity. Girls tearing other girls down if they don’t call themselves feminists. Teaching girls it’s acceptable to be abusive to their boyfriends. Teaching girls that they’re victims. Teaching girls that everything a boy does is gross and unacceptable. Glorifying obesity, making everything offensive, telling us lies about the wage gap, ignoring male abuse victims, getting worked up over video games, teaching us that the media hates us. Making girls bitter and cynical of the world. The list goes on and on.

I’m tired of this movement, and it’s true what they say. Ignorance is bliss.
