Sad news to wake up to this morning. Alan Rickman had been a regular fixture of my movie landscape for nearly my entire life, through roles in "Quigley Down Under," "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" and "Galaxy Quest," not to mention the "Harry Potter" franchise and many others. But it was his role in "Die Hard" as the villainous yet sophisticated Hans Gruber that was his greatest and most memorable. And it just happened to be his very first film role. What a great debut it was. RIP Alan.
