That’s how all women should feel about their body.

This is how everyone should feel about their body

I understand your point, but almost all men already do feel this way about their bodies and hardly any women do

-Stephen

I can’t even breathe for fear of inhaling the radiating, gaseous idiocy your unleashing into the world.

Men report being upset about their bodies at similar rates to women, from 15% to 40%. They also have similar rates of several eating disorders, and much higher rates of muscle dysmorphia, which is just as unhealthy as any eating disorder. Body dysmorphic disorder is a genderless condition.

They’re also completely ignored in the media and by a culture perpetuated by fucking pieces of shit like you

I know several men who have considered suicide because they hate the way they look

You are an abomination who has likely never met a man other than yourself and I am laughing so hard that your shitty, abortion of a blog advertises itself as using logic and having arguments. I doubt that you’ve been particularly exposed to either logic or arguments in your extraordinarily sheltered life.

And thanks for making it so easy to ignore your abominable opinion by proving that you have lived such a privileged, hallowed life to have not known as many men who hate their bodies as women.

tl;dr: Find jesus. Ask the Wizard of Oz for a soul. Learn how to statistics. And oh, take all your fucking biases towards men and put them in the trash where they belong you utterly repugnant living stain of filth.

Damnn

Shit that was brutal

I’m a man and I’m upset with my body

I think collectively in my 42 years of life I’m been ok with my body for like maybe 3 of them. But that’s unimportant, what is important is how magnificently worded that roast was, that one deserves a round of drinks once a week for life.

As a man of almost 42 I’ve disliked my body (and overall looks) for a little more than half my life. I’d love to feel good about it because it’s something that has seriously gotten me down at times.

Yo, okay, stop tellin boys that their height is funny if they’re short. Stop rebloggin things about boys who are under 6ft tall with the intention of laughing at them.

Stop telling boys to man up.

Stop telling boys that they should just move on and get over emotionally/physically traumatic experiences.

Stop telling boys that their girlfriends are “always right because women are always right.”

Stop making fun of boys for parts of their body that they were literally just born with an HAVE no control over.

BOYS. NEED. EMOTIONAL. SUPPORT. TOO. BOYS. HAVE. BODY. IMAGE. ISSUES. TOO.

Fuck.

Listen I would die for Jameela Jamil

I just… love her… so much we don’t deserve her

When you’ve got low self esteem and are having a bad day

“Only women”. She lost me there. The second you gender the issue and assume that men dont deal with it, as a vocal activist, is exactly when you become part of the problem. She almost certainly just listened and looked for women speaking up, and made the assumption that it only happened to women. That ahe dealt with it and she’s a woman, so it must only happen to women.

This is exactly why so many men stay quiet about their issues. It isnt “toxic masculinity”, it’s men constantly being told by vocal and influential people that it isnt an issue for them. That it’s a women’s issue. It’s constantly seeing only one type of voice being heard. So they quiet down, not wanting to be accused of taking the spotlight, the activism. But all they ever wanted to do was share it. Which is apparently too much to ask.

This is why we get those posts about anorexic men with a bunch of “I never even thought of men suffering from anerexia” comments. Those posts about suicidal men who felt inadequate with comments of disbelief that men also have these thoughts. As if men were this seperate species. You think men and women dont see all those impossibly fit underwear models? You think men and women dont see those impossibly fit male backup dancers dancing sexually with the female singer? You think men and women dont see those incredibly fit actors or incredibly fit men on commercials and billboards? Men have those same thoughts of inadequacy. They just arent allowed to vocalize them.

And it wasnt some small slip. She went out of her way to insist that it only happens to women. Like imagine if I brought up the issue of suicide and stated that it only happens to men. I was prepared to praise her, but now I question if she really deserves it.

Teenage boys should be aware that they’re supposed to look like the picture on the left; not the guy on the right who is probably about 10 years older than them, and has worked long and hard to look the way that he does.

“Can we stop classifying ‘realistic proportions’ as fat please? Like seriously? Do these people really think a mermaid who swims constantly would be fat? Or a woman living in France before the French Revolution would be fat?* Or a Native American girl who constantly runs around and maybe helps to carry heavy things and hunt would be fat? Every time I see articles like this one it makes me so mad. They boast about ‘oh think of all the little fat girls that look at these skinny princesses and hate themselves!’ but fail to think about the little skinny girls who hear people talk about how being skinny isn’t ‘normal’ or ‘realistic’ and feel bad about themselves. There are two sides to every coin, skinny and fat kids get picked on for being skinny and fat. This type of shit isn’t for ‘teh liddle gurls’ it’s for fat, vain adult women who feel insecure because of a freaking cartoon.” (x) (*)

“Boys don’t know what it feels like to hate themselves and their body”

“Boys are not pressured whatsoever to conform to beauty standards”

“Only girls develop EDs or resort to starving themselves just to look good”

“Boys do not get judged or shamed for their looks or body whatsoever”

“Only girls and no boys…….”
