Hi! Thanks for asking. Long story short, I've been struggling with health problems for a few years and the comic's on hold until I get better. After fixing my iron deficiency I'm still mysteriously fatigued and what little energy I have is mostly spent on a side hustle that pays my rent far better than comics ever could lol. I love comics but I don't love how little they pay 😭

That said I do hope to finish Velvet Necklace someday! There's so much work I want to do but my body's not cooperating. Fingers crossed the doctor can figure something out at my next appointment

Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t given up on Velvet Necklace!! Just that I started it as a low-stakes comfort project but it turned into a high-stakes one anyway because I’m proud of the script and want to do it justice. Too much pressure about the execution. But yeah, I should really just grit my teeth and finish the second chapter finally, there’s not that many pages left.

I’m trying to get better about this, thanks for understanding

Progress! Turns out drawing wallpapers from scratch is a huge pain so I’m making patterns for them now.

Thanks for your interest, I’ve scripted seven chapters in total and it’s probably gonna take me this full year to finish! I’m not a fulltime comic artist so my pace is pretty slow sadly.

Warning: getting sappy here, but thank you all for reading my comics and writing all your kind words in response. Dealing with the covid-19 isolation lately is starting to wear me down mentally but it cheers me up a lot when I go back to read the comments and notes on my posts!

My fluffy little romance comic has been something of a godsend because it turns out drawing pretty people in a pretty house is (mostly) very fun and literally 100% of the feedback has been positive and supportive, this being tumblr I still tend to have that little dread of getting trolled or harassed outta nowhere, but so far everyone’s been extremely cool.

So thanks for sticking around! And special thanks to the few of you who generously bought the pdf!! I’m aiming to finish chapter 2 sometime next month, look forward to it. It’s gonna be pretty tense, and intriguing, and a little funny maybe??
