To insanity and beyond!

She/Her. Location: the land of long-ass winter. (English isn't my native language, expect random awkwardness!!) Bi, atheist and less spiritual than a potted plant. No I don't make gifs, go credit someone who is actually able to do the gif magic. I can barely operate a light switch. DISCLAIMER: Those dumb enough to follow commit to seeing random posts about whatever I feel like fixating on. The posts may or may not be in english. No warnings, no apologies. Just poorly managed ADHD and sudden mood swings. BTW If you're here to find out who I am because I just said some dumb shit and you're eager to educate me: 1. It's not that hard to block me... 2. You should know that the ignorance I display may actually be an informed CHOICE I've knowingly made. Maybe it's the ADHD, I don't know. The chaos keeps the boredom at bay.

SPOILER WARNING!!!

Something that has been bothering me since the finale is the scene where Eddie calls Marisol and they have this very awkward and middle-school like flirting session. I mean the scene itself bothers me, but I’m specifically confused about the timing.

How long after the bridge collapse did this phone call happen?

Unless I’m very confused by the ending, I can assume we had a time jump of least 3 weeks, minimum. According to google broken ribs can take 3 to 6 weeks to heal.

For this call to still feel in-character for Eddie; he would have had to be in good health and healed. Especially because he brought up his crush to Christopher. Eddie literally had Shannon (chris’ mother) hide in a closet because the circumstances weren’t right. I can’t see him telling Christopher about a crush, if he was still healing from the collapse.

If I’m right about it being 3 weeks after the collapse, the fact that Marisol was staring, at her phone for two hours, looking at his contact info, just became even weirder. Does that not imply she was doing that daily since they saw each other at the store.

No matter where I try to place the phone call to have occurred, it is just weird.

It doesn’t even feel right saying the call happened a few days after the collapse. And putting the call out too far from their encounter in the store also makes the overall giddiness of the conversation even more off putting.

I’m not sure I make a lot of sense, but to be honest trying to justify the last 15 minutes of the finale has been a real head scratcher. And not just because Buddie didn’t go cannon, but because it was written in such a weird way and so different from the first 30 minutes. It felt like an entirely different episode.

Idk, can someone help me better understand the time jump. Maybe I can rationalize it. Or maybe I can just safely assume not much thought was put into the timing.
