i work at an online reselling bookstore where people send us their old books and we take photos of them and upload them to our website.

of course, im happy whenever i get to work with a book i know or have read, but rarely ever do i get to be silly about it. but since carry on is so special and close to my heart i know exactly what chapter to turn to for the text preview photo

i have done it twice so far and am planning on being consistent should i ever encounter carry on again during my photo-taking shifts

so I thought what losing his wings would be like for Simon (because I’m bored, dont come at me please)

yes, they are annoying and cause a lot of trouble, but he’s had them for a year and I personally can’t imagine him without wings anymore (and it’s the only magical thing helping him in fights)

I think it would depend on the context, losing them because he got his magic back would probably be bittersweet and he’d be like “oh ok at least I’ve got my magic back :/“, but losing them without getting his magic back would be plain angst because his wings and tail are the only things his magic left behind right now

anyway I think it’s funny that Rainbow didn’t even predict that Simon’s wings would become permanent and now they are literally an iconic part of him and ~~please miss Rowell dont take them away we all love them :(~~

In some part Rainbow say, no, Cath say that a couple divorced because the magic of one hurt de other. So, I can't stop thinking that Baz and Simon's magic is compatible.

Like, Simon hurt Penny when tried to give some "power" to her... But, with Baz, Geez... Together they could dominate the world And I totally agree with this.

this right here might be my most favourite line from carry on. It tugs at my heart to know that Baz didn’t think of himself as someone who’s alive, but Simon never thought less of Baz. And Baz was mentally prepared to die in the fire, whereas Simon wanted to save them both.

In any case, this line is poetic heaven and I live for it.
