One year ago, today, I created this series based on the idea that a vampire version of Nix, witch Gene, and hunters Winters and Lipton would be a lot of fun to write about. I was right. In the last year, this little idea has given new life to my muse and has helped me to produce more writing in a single year than I ever have before. As of today, this universe is comprised of 56 parts and totals more than 236K words. I’m still going, with no apparent end in sight.
Through this process, I’ve made some amazing friends but @lyselkatz deserves a special shout out. She started as a fan of the series in its infancy, then created beautiful artwork inspired by my storytelling (which you should all go look at because she is AMAZING). She was a cheerleader and a soundingboard when I got stuck and now she’s a dear friend and collaborator, helping me continue to tell the tales of our supernatural boys.
I don’t usually get emotional here, but this series has helped to pull me through a very tough year. It’s served as inspiration, a motivator, a distraction, a catharsis, and a comfort. I hope that it has brought joy to my readers as well.
So, with all that being said, if you’d like to read about an incredibly sexy, complicated vampire (who of course falls in love with a hunter, because how could he not), a sexy bayou witch, some hunters, werewolves, and demons, you should click on the link above. I promise it’ll be an interesting ride ;)
