You know whats even worse about our inquisitor identifying with Inquisitor Ameridan and realising that everything they are might get edited into some easily digestible chantry propaganda?
The first memory you come across of the last inquisitor (in the tevinter ruins) your companions have the following reaction:
Solas, Blackwall, Cole and Sera have this reaction.
Which...drives me a little bit insane actually.
Your inquisitor is realing from this revelation about Inquisitor Ameridan and the fact that he was a mage and dalish and forgotten and your companions just. Immediately turn that on its head and make it instead a sort of humility/lack of pride issue instead!
Like it's not fame most of our inquisitors will be sad Ameridan didn't get, it's recognition for who their hero really was and the possible change that could have inspired if it had been persevered and remembered as an uncomfortable truth. And some of your companions immediately not understanding that distinction as soon as you finish this incredibly lonely convo with Ameridan - the one person who understands the weight of the title who is now gone - it just...it aches. Its painful. Heartbreaking.
