Look I'm on break at work right and I am So Tired but still I think it's a great idea to express how, apparently, my favorite trope is still "Character dies and comes back as an antagonist under another identity only to reveal themselves to cause the protagonist trauma" bonus points if the previously thought dead character is witty and allegorical about their reveal
I hate that my specific favorite character trope is
“Punkass young protagonist-esque character in a superhero-related universe ‘dies’ except not really and comes back a villain here to cause trauma to the hero”
because it Hurts and I live only to make happy aus about them I don’t even know why this has shown up three whole times as something I like and I really don’t know why

Trying to get myself back into color. I spent the past couple of weeks doing the linework for another comic project; I got to work with a colorist!! It was super nice because I struggle with color. Like. A lot. It may not look like it, but I always have a really hard time picking color swatches (my usual coloring process: “screw it, I will just make everything BLUE”).
But, now that the project is finished, I want to start getting more original art done and getting more prints done, which means…gotta exercise those coloring muscles.

2AM me has great ideas in general, but never has any backup or like, sources to work with. For example, 2AM me frantically wrote a note down of
“Batfam Blue Exorcist AU idk but Jason is Yukio”
And
I wanna write it but I haven’t seen Blue Exorcist in years? And I definitely remember vague impressions of the characters, but I have no. idea. who would be who? And also like, how much would I rely on the anime/manga and how much on the comics?
Sigh. This will lay in drafts for a while, I just know it.

Same as last time, if you use it just like and share, and all thanks to @uncharted-constellations for both the concept of glitter+superheroes and the design!
I didn’t make the bat tape-on like the inspiration, but like to think it’s Velcro because eventually whoever repairs/replaces their suits notices the dramatic slapping on of the bat and just accommodates him accordingly. The robin species I picked for Jason is the Red-Capped Robin - red hood, red helmet, red cap?
(okay y’all I’m really super proud of this one especially since it’s my fave. Ignore the bad anatomy and lack of clarity on how a gun looks - I actually like the style of this one a lot for some reason, despite the sketchiness of the linework)
In the meantime of working on individual heroes, I maaay be working on a compilation of just straight up Robins :) (AKA: the nightmare of overlapping poses and just a wall of red yellow and green. Seven traffic light children.)
Also in case you’re wondering how that face came to be, it’s a morph of Curran Walters, Jensen Ackles, and Chris McCarrell - it turned out to be the perfect Jay in my head. Next up, hopefully, will either be Babs, Terra, or Tim
