Todd definitely started loudly groaning and whispering curses to himself when he realized he liked Neil
Guys Neil and Todd don't come out until their senior year about a month or two before graduation you have to believe me!!!!! Guys they waited so long because they were scared the guys wouldn't accept them so they waited until grad that way if the guys hated them they would only have to see them for like a month!!!! Guys they've been planning this since they started dating their junior year!!! (assuming they're juniors since they're all 16/17)
I forget that my headcanons aren't real and I be getting mad asf when a fic don't follow along with them
Neil Perry throws pasta at the walls to check if its done
Neil Perry would have every word of the Hamilton soundtrack memorized
I know Steven Meeks has the most wicked asthma
If there's French Todd may I please request Dutch or German Neil 🙏
i know Meeks and Pitts would love Minecraft
How I think all the poets would react to Neil and Todd coming out to them
(this is for a fic I'm writing. feel free to give any opinion you have on these hcs)
Charlie: Had suspicions but wasn't fully sure, never said anything about it though because he thinks it's not his place
Meeks: Is surprised because he just assumed they were really close because they're roommates, never really considered the possibility of them dating. He doesn't really care because he thinks what Neil and Todd do is their business and they're still his best friends
Pitts: Shares the same thoughts as Meeks. Neils a very touchy and genuine person so he never really thought about anything other than a simple friendship. (he's also very unaffected by it because there was a small week long rumor when he first came to Welton that him and Meeks were gay)
Knox: Thinks they're joking, he laughs it off until he finally thinks about them. He thinks it's a bit odd for maybe a day but he gets over it quickly, at the end of the day they're the same Neil and Todd he became best friends with and nothing will change that
Cameron: quite literally just says "okay and?". He doesn't care that they're dating, it doesn't affect him in the slightest. "them being gay doesn't make me gay so why would I care?"
Bonus
Keating: saw Neil and Todd holding hands under the lunch table one time and just smile and nodded
Knox Overstreet the type of guy to start crying over the gender wage gap
headcanon that Todd doesn't cry, ever. Well, he was never really one for showing emotions in general, you'd know when he was happy but other than that he was just full of awkward glances and blank stares.
That's not to say he's never cried obviously but he hasn't since he was a kid. He wants to cry, he's been on the verge of it more than once being at welton but Todd's seen all the poets shed some kind of tears (Neil over his father, Charlie over the rough punishments of welton, knox over Chris, meeks from laughing too hard, pitts from joy over finishing in the radio, he's even seen Cameron shed a shaky tear when he thought no one was looking over a grade that was a little lower than he would've liked)
The first and last time anyone's seen Todd cry was that day in the snow
I know for a fact that Todd Anderson has the most dog shit handwriting
And every teacher asks him to try and do better, the only one who doesn’t is Mr. Keating. Because when he was his age his handwriting was also shit. So he just gets it
Mr Keating being the closest with Todd because he sees himself in him is now my new favorite head canon ❤️
I know for a fact that Todd Anderson has the most dog shit handwriting
Headcanon that after Neils death, Todd would look through Neils stuff before his family collected it and in spots he would find small gifts that were boughten for the poets for Christmas. They were small things like a pen or a book, but under his bed Todd found 2 gifts, both for him. One was for a late birthday and the other was for Christmas
At one of the rehearsals for the play Neil would discover that one of his cast mates knew how to knit/crochet, Neil would then proceeded to spend his days whenever he could learning how to knit/crochet just so he could make Todd a really bad and fraying scarf. Neil would be really proud of it and Todd would abandon his school scarf for the one Neil made him. The poets would laugh and point it out but none of their jokes would ever deter Todd from wearing it every time the breeze got a little too cold
