Aikatsu QR codes

@reyna-ribbon was asking me about scanning Aikatsu cards into the 3DS games the other day and I suddenly remembered this site. I think I posted it a long time ago too, but:

This site has all the QR codes for almost all of the Aikatsu cards, and you can use them to scan into the 3DS games. (Although remember that each 3DS game can only scan cards released before it was made and they don’t have everything.) I used this site to get all the Constellation dresses on 365 Idol Days before I bought them legit. I dunno if this site will stay up with the arcade update so get them while you can maybe?

I've been away all weekend, so this is how I am finding out AiPri is getting a second season.

I don't really care...?

By which I mean, I'm not enjoying AiPri and at this point I don't think adding a legacy character would do much of anything to improve the quality of the series.

But then again, PriChan season 2 was much better than season 1. And because season 1 was unremarkable, a lot of people missed out. I suppose at any rate there is nowhere to go but up.

Laala was already in PriChan though (as Yui's manager) so I guess it would be Mirai's turn. Which would be... odd.

At any rate, I suppose they could easily add any legacy character in as a judge and it would make sense.

But anyway, it looks like Creamy Mami's 40th Anniversary was last year, so we might have missed the boat on that one.

I did something cool this past weekend! Well really, I did a lot of cool things, but one I wanted to mention in particular.

I was at a tiny little convention up in Maine that apparently Greg Ayres is (the only?) celebrity guest at every year. This year, he brought an unreleased English-language CD of music for the anime BECK Mongolian Chop Squad, which I have never seen, but still, I had to go listen.

Greg asked us not to record and I respected that. But it was just a cool thing to be in the room and discover something like this since I watch lost media videos on YouTube all the time.

I don't know if anyone is searching for this, but I wanted to put it out there that if you are, simply find a convention Greg Ayres is at and go talk to him (a pretty easy thing to do).

(This was at Animaine 12 in November 2024 btw, the year on my badge is wrong.)

I threw all my Aikatsu stuff on a bag to see what it might look like (a mess).

I regret not collecting more Aikatsu stuff. But when I was in Japan, they rarely made character merch. And if they did, it was either only available in, like, Tokyo, and/or they didn't have my favorite characters. (Or I was just busy spending money on other series...)

I am not sure what to do with this. I might take everything off but the wings? I wish I had more wings...

Tickets are on sale today for the King of Prism virtual live "tour" with SePTENTRION, Link World!

Apparently, every single show will have a different set list and different emcees, justifying the "tour"! (They will be in Kanagawa, Aomori, Shizuoka, and Tokyo. Supposedly.) The Christmas one will feature all the songs and take place on a special (probably Christmas-themed) stage.

It is a totally virtual live, but it is... region-locked.

Which is baffling to me. I mean yeah, it's Avex. But they did not region lock the PriPara or PriChan lives? (And King of Prism SSS does have an official English release unlike Idol Land PriPara?)

Also, as usual, there are regular viewing tickets and special tickets. The special tickets come with a lot of bonus videos, which is still a lot for 4,800 yen vs. 1,800 yen. I was going to comment about it not being worth it until I also noticed you cannot watch the archive with a regular viewing ticket. It's for live viewing only.

Still, I begrudgingly switched my VPN over to Japan and bought a special ticket for Day 1. I'm hoping for the best. I have been wanting a virtual live for a long time and King of Prism rarely disappoints me. (It's just... Avex.......)

A SePTENTRION virtual live "tour" was announced recently!

I want to assume it's an online thing like the PriChan and PriPara virtual lives, but if so it's kinda odd that there are three "tour" dates for the same concert? But, we'll see! I'll be following the news.

Satoru/Iroha might be my favorite romance subplot that I've ever seen in any kids anime. The way they built it up slowly over time was just beautiful.

But watching this episode, in the back of my mind I kept thinking... I wonder if this subplot exists just so they could have an episode like this that says:

Yes, the way Satoru feels about Iroha is different than the way Iroha feels about Komugi. Stop shipping the pets and owners ya pervs.

I think we should be prepared to set our expectations pretty low for the AiPri Switch game.

I mean... considering I don't even think the main AiPri arcade game has traditional coord change, I really doubt the Switch will...

But anyway, I feel like they tend to not release arcade ports while the arcade game is still going so they don't hurt their arcade revenue. (I know this is something that has happened in the past, but you really don't see it anymore I think for this reason...) And with PriChan/PriMagi/Planet, I think with COVID they weren't even getting much arcade revenue so they didn't bother releasing one after either.

I have no good explanation other than that. The AiPri game isn't a true arcade port so it's not competition and also COVID. That's what I'm going with, anyway. *shrugs*
