While Aedion did not treat Lysandra well in KoA, I think that the reactions I’m seeing are unreasonable and very much based on a tendency to justify anything female characters do these days.

Yes, Lys was helping Aelin but they both made an actual choice and she would have deceived Aedion and manipulated him into having sex with her as his cousin in order to have heirs, which is dishonest, twisted and definitely blurs the lines of consent. Not to mention that it has been implied that Aedion was sexually assaulted in the past.

If a male character did this to a woman you would all be screaming abuse tbh.

I totally agree! It was a very tricky situation so I understand where Aelin and Lysandra were coming from when they came up with there plan. There were no good options. However, I feel Aedion’s reaction was extremely reasonable. Still, the whole throwing Lysandra into the snow was too much, but I understand his anger. I definitely agree that if he was a female character everyone would be up in arms defending him.

One thing I’ve always loved about Elide’s story is the focus on her being a heroine and total badass. Like, Elide Lochan is so concerned that she won’t be useful to Aelin. Because she’s disabled and she also can’t read. But Elide Lochan is the most heroic and useful person in EoS. She’s just a regular girl. No magic. Just a girl. She’s a girl who has endured a lot, and no one would blame her if she just gave up. But she doesn’t. She demonstrates that even if you have a body that works differently from other people’s bodies and even if you have a mind that can’t read, you can still change the course of history and save the world. And what’s even cooler is that Elide Lochan is intelligent in an unconventional way. She can’t read but it doesn’t matter. She’s smarter and more cunning than most and a hell of a lot brighter than Lorcan. She’s brave and fierce too. She saves the fucking world, practically. She brings Aelin the wyrd key. That’s like…the single most important thing, the thing that NEEDS to happen for all other things to work out. Elide Lochan is impressive and heroic and a badass savior of the fucking world and she never lets her so called disabilities get in the way, and she slays an Ilken because why the fuck not??

Elide Lochan is our Slytherin savior queen and I cannot wait until we get to see more of her in ToG8

As someone disabled I absolutely love it. So rare that there are good disabled characters in anything! And usually if they’re disabled that’s like their whole identity but Elide is Elide, who just happens to also be disabled. I love that!

Please, help me and my family

A few years ago, my mom got us stuck in a pretty big debt, about 50 thousand dollars.

And exempt this one, she had a loan for our house. To pay the last one we sold our old house and now we all living with my grandmother.

And now the creditors demand to pay the debt or we will lose my grandma’s house too. I don’t know want to do or where to go.

For the last couple of years, my mom managed to pay more the 30 thousand. But we still have to pay a lot of money, around 15 thousand TILL THE END OF THIS YEAR. So I ask you for help.

And because of that my grandma now has a heart disease and we need to buy tablets for her.

And in the end of it, I started to sleep really bad, become anxious and can’t sleep normally without antidepressants.
