This is another one of those pieces that I'm in danger of messing with forever if I don't post it now. So here we are! SAYER itself! In the synthetic non-flesh! Well... not really because it's an incorporeal construct... but I'm so happy to draw SAYER again! As understandable as the hiatus was, that doesn't mean I didn't miss it!

Before Pride month ends I’d like to pay tribute to a legit historical BI-con. Julie d’Aubigny aka. La Maupin. A sword fighting, cross dressing, opera singing bisexual woman of the 17th century...she had a lot going on.. so here’s a quick rundown of some of her exploits:
🔸She was a phenomenal fencer who won many duels (including one against three men at once!).
🔸She was pardoned twice by the King of France narrowly escaping being executed.
🔸She rescued her lover from a convent by stealing a recently deceased nuns body and setting the whole place on fire.
🔸She became a famous Opera star at 17 and once stabbed herself with a real dagger on stage.
🔸She embarrassed a Countess she worked for by pinning Radishes the the back of her head before a Grand Ball
🔸She had many lovers both male and female and would often get into fights defending other women from lecherous men.
🔸Anddd she got sent to court for attacking her Landlord. (Icon behavior)
Her life was short but wild and I’d absolutely encourage you to look her up.

Although my drawings have been depressing me lately. Nothing looks good enough and I've lost count of how many WIPs I've abandoned and restarted and abandoned again. Harry will have to do, so at least I've finished something.

I'm absolutely devastated that the original creators of DE have apparently been ousted from the creation of the sequel. There isn't a world I want to return to more than this one, but without the original creative team it just won't be the same.
This world feels so fleshed out and well realised. All the side characters are interesting and complex, and it feels like we've only just scratched the surface on all the stories that this universe has to offer. I hope we get to hear more from the people that made it, not just the people who financed it.

I love her so much! Kirby Howell-Baptiste does such a good job of bringing her to life. I especially love when the character is surrounded by greenery, life and death go hand in hand, babyyy.
WIP Collection | Unfinished or Abandoned
Although I don't post super often I do draw pretty much every day, but most of what I draw never gets finished. This is a collection of some of the unfinished works I've accumulated over the last year or so. Most of my abandoned drawings are saved over and gone for good but some (like these) I like to hang on to. If I don't like how they're going or I get bored of a certain project I like to take a break and have another go at it a few months down the line.
I intend to have another go at some of these.... some.....at some point..... Probably.
