Oh wow. The details on this are all so beautiful and heartbreaking
- Crowley's darkening wings and disintegrating halo - the game is over, he's already lost
- Crowley's lack of weapon, but rather an attempt at a caress - plea for mercy or just a hope one nice feeling before the end?
- Crowley's general exposed vibe with his arm and neck stretched out like that - nothing left to fear, vulnerability is switched on
- In contrast, Aziraphale has the wide eyes of shock and horror of war - what have I done and what am I doing right now?
- Aziraphale's dagger held to Crowley’s throat, but not actually to the skin, hovering above as though caught in hesitation
- They both seem to understand what is happening, even if they don't like it, but only Crowley appears to have accepted the outcome
In conclusion: fuck this is gorgeous
