Hi everyone! I have a bit of a favor to ask.
My hometown Asheville, NC was horrifically flooded by Hurricane Fred last night. The entire WNC area has been devastated. Roads are gone, people are missing, entire farms washed away. It's a catastrophic loss.
Asheville has a huge tourist economy but the rest of WNC is blue collar workers and farmers -- salt of the earth people who have lived in those mountains for generations. They're the kind of people who do their best with what they have, but right now they have nothing.
I'm a writer by trade, and have published 6 books so far in my career (3 under my name, 3 under my pen name). To help raise money for those affected by this tragedy, I'm donating half of my book sales from now until the end of September to Appalachians 4 Appalachia - a grass roots organization based in Kentucky that is lending a huge hand to the people of my town.
