like, yall need to understand that what tyler did is a microaggression at best, i’m not saying that tyler is running around screaming ‘I HATE BLACK PEOPLE’ through his lyrics, i’m saying the themes of his song blatantly borrow from aave and black slang (’stay in your lane’, the ‘hood’) and blatantly call out successful black music claiming tha this music is better without acknowledging that he’s literally being influenced by and borrowing from black music
i’m not even saying that he’s doing this with the intention of being racist. but like… that doesn’t matter. it’s still wrong???? and i’m gonna call him out for it regardless of 21p being one of my favorite bands because it’s w r o n g
