I just came across an iMessage conversation from a year ago where my friend had asked me for headcanons about superheroes owning/running restaurants. I think you’ll enjoy what we came up with.
If Tony Stark ran a restaurant, it wouldn’t be high end like someone would expect. It would be more low-key, a family place. Not everyone even knows Tony runs it when they first go there. Well, he wouldn’t actually run it that much (he hired people to a better job of that than he ever could), but he’s there all the time. Some of the more regular customers and families have even stopped being starstruck and started seeing as just Tony. He likes it that way. He likes to interact with the kids, bring families booster seats when needed, accommodate his customers’ every need. But sometimes, he just likes to sit in the corner and watch all the families be happy together, and he likes knowing he provided a place where they can do that.
If Steve Rogers ran a restaurant, it would be like a diner, with all comfort food on the menu. He’d use it as a way to pretend he was living a normal life even though he knew nearly nothing about running a business. He’d always try to talk to every customer and remember their names and the favorite orders of the regulars. It would make him so happy but again he doesn’t know how to run a business, so Tony secretly takes care of it financially because he wants Steve to keep being that happy.
And then we decided that we’d had enough of serious headcanons.
Clint Barton would probably be the most disastrous superhero restaurant owner. He’d be like Gordon Ramsay except he’d know nothing about food. He’d just act like Gordon Ramsay while having no clue what he was talking about other than “I think I heard that on Food Network last night.” It would come close to going out of business in, like, a month.
Feel free to add on. I think superheroes owning restaurants is a wholesome concept.
@ everybody: just so you have no regrets when all is said and done, I’m gonna say go absolutely wild with your passion for the MCU in this last month before Endgame. Cringe culture be darned. Go back and read those old favorite fanfics. Pretend it’s 2012 peak fandom again. Rewatch all the movies and loudly quote your favorite lines. Write sappy and over-analytic meta. Literally just go for it our time’s running out
