I have a question to throw out to the LU community

What is your take on Wild's death at the start of BOTW. I've seen it split between "he didn't die they put him in the shrine just in time to save him" and "he died, that's why they put him in the shrine".

I'm personally on the side of "he did die" because Shrine of Resurrection implies in its name that he died. Resurrection literally means to raise from the dead. Plus if he was just seriously wounded, it wouldn't have taken 100 years to heal.

To me it's the first, the "he didn't die they put him in the shrine just in time to save him" one. I really don't like it when coming back from the dead is something possible in fiction. For the LoZ Universe I like to think that nothing short of Divine Intervention can bring back the dead.

So in my interpretation Link was at death door, like "his heart stopped" kind of door death, and the shrine acted like a Resuscitation Team at the hospital (he also got first aid in the way here). And Resurrection is the hylian name for Resuscitation. Link then spent 100 years in coma while the Shrine maintain him alive until he wake up while also fixing the brain damage Link surely got in the time where his heart stopped beating.

Man I'm not even playing botw but im pissed about Flora. She's a bitch because of what? Her dad's a dick? So she gets mad at someone who is simply doing his job.

I have a lot of problems in my life and she is one of them.

Honestly my feelings for Flora is the same except more moderate. Like YES she was absolutely unfair to Link when he had his own set of problem, expectation and worries and she probably worsen them a lot by doing so. And if you can forgive and form a bond with someone when they became a better person and/or start treating you better ? Cool for you but that's not my case, especially . To me Flora as she is in the game will probably forever remain in the "Jury's still out" state.

Look I've never play BotW but I know its story and I love Link with all my heart and if I did play BotW then I would have probably taken any offense directed at Link personally cause I can get immersed easily at time. However the only way for me to forgive a person that have wronged me or my loved one is to see that they are putting an effort to make up for their wrong.

And we did not see Flora do this, nor do we read it in her journal (I think). Maybe she did, maybe she tried to make things right with Link. But as long as they don't at least imply that she did, she will stay in the "jury's still out" and "I potentially have a problem with you" territories.

Honestly Flora is a great character and her story had been told beautifully. But I feel you're appreciation to her as her person depends on how much you are attached to/projecting on Link compared to her and how much it takes for you to start/stop blaming a character for their faults (personally I'm harder on them than on IRL people).

But anyway, yeah I do not like Flora as much as I could have. I also do not vibe well with Revali for the same reason.

Sure ! _Has the softest voice (based on his canon voice and onomatopoeia in botw). Thanks to that he has 0 threatening aura when he is heard, earning him the trust of every people he met (especially children). He's risking himself for something that may be his doom (having too much way to fight will eventually lead to not know when to use which and create a big ouverture for the enemy to exploit one day) _Can regain his memory fully actually. But it's gonna take time, especially for the mundane one. We memo rise better when there's emotional implication you know ? And with all that happen with the Calamity lot of memories are buried under all his stressful and sad ones. So yeah he's gonna take time but we see him regain memories little by little in his game. And no one remember every seconds of their past anyway. He'll recover all his memory you'll see :) _A social introvert : is the happiest with some friends he knows well but still need alone time (or time with very few people to accompany him) every now and then _He loves meeting new people and things. Getting to visit other Era and get to know the people here is his favorite part of this whole adventure. _Unpopular opinion here but he's the one of the chain that know the least of sign language. Opening up and talking to people with his voice had been a challenge but it was one that he could overcome and learning sign never really come up except for some very well know sign used as warnings. Ok you know how BotW Zelda was trying very hard to unlock her sealing power... But we only heard about that sealing power, nothing about creating a weapon able to severly arm Ganon (the bow of light). I consider it safe then that no one knew about it.

But after sealing Ganon for 100 years Zelda is still able to create said bow and give it to Link. We could find several explanation to this but what if during her sealing century Zelda saw her predecessors through the Triforce and they taught her how to do it, as well as keep her company and helped her restraining Ganon ?
