I have decided, like with all bad shows I am obsessed with, that I shall rewrite Star vs the Forces of Evil but just completely make it about Eclipsa’s upbringing. Won’t be part of Glossaryck’s Gambit series, will involve some shenanigans and be very canon divergent.

I did some sketches. Will color later.

The story involves Eclipsa being raised by Jushtin and Solaria. I’m pretty sure Jushtin gets married to Recluza late in his life. Also I’m pretty sure he had to raise Solaria because Skywynne died on the attack of Butterfly castle based off of Solaria’s tapestry. Like, she was fourteen (Solaria) and he was twenty-eight. He had to be there to look after his sister.

Back on topic. Eclipsa was the perfect princess Mewni could ask for, doing everything her mother and uncle told her she had to do as princess of Mewni and then some. She was told she had to be strong in magic so she studied both Butterfly and Lucitor magic. Going so far as to study monsters and their magic (because there are fucking shapeshifters and regenerating lizards. That’s fucking magic.) Which leads to her being around monsters a lot in much more peaceful situations than she is when she’s with her mother. Giving her the freedom to gain attraction. She’s never hated monsters, never understood the reason for it and knew the conflict was 1. Mewmans fault and 2. Terrible for everyone. Just doesn’t make sense to continue. But when she’s like, eighteen, her mother tells her she’s gotta marry a Spiderbite for resources. If she’s gonna marry someone for political reasons, she’s rather marry someone she’s already friends with, enter Modeus Lucitor (Full Name: Asmodeus Devastation Lucitor) younger twin to the heir to the Lucitor throne (Evelyn Nightmare Lucitor). As far as I know, we’re never shown the Lucitors from back then and maybe it actually was Wrathmelior and her family, demons live long, half demons too. But I wanted to design some demons and also make Tomstarco a thing vicariously through Globgor, Eclipsa, and Modeus.

Anyways. I’m writing this entirely because I want to. I gotta write my senior project still 😅

I like to think that, given the opportunities (depending on how often he saw Eclipsa during her pregnancy and all, since I’m not 100% on the timeline of everything), Globgor would’ve taken SUCH good care of her…
