Aight, so y’all know how Dipper reacted when he thought Ford was going to call him Pine Tree, in The Last Mabelcorn?

Dipper was TERRIFIED. Of course, he thought that Ford was possessed by Bill, but if we LISTEN to him, he sounds like he’s been sent into double freak-out mode. Jason Ritter did that line perfectly. He really captured Dipper’s pure terror.

Well imagine that in a Gravity Falls-Owl House crossover, King calls Dipper Pine Tree without knowing Dipper has some major issues with that name, and Dipper just freaks out. He’s already a bit suspicious of King because of Bill’s voice (minus the distortion). This would just make him seriously freak out.

Plus, Dipper probably has some Bill-related PTSD. So there’s that. I might do an analysis on that.
