I am now sad and will never be happy again. Curse you, Neil Gaiman
Hi Mr. Gaiman, sir. I've just had a pleasant chat with an interesting individual that claimed to be part of a legal team from "Good Omens studios". Had a lovely time winding him up while he demanded that I take down all my cosplay TikToks in the next 48 hours.
I was wondering if you knew anything about this wonderful Good Omens studio and whether or not we should be worried about one individual trying to erase fandom history.
Sincerely,
A very big fan of your work
Well, there isn't a "Good Omens Studios". There's the BBC, and there's Amazon Prime Video. There's "Nice and Accurate Productions" which is the company set up by the BBC that is actually making the show, and there's a UK lawyers (used to be the BBC but I think it's now the lawyers for the Terry Pratchett estate) that does its best to police the actual trademark and, for example, explain to people that the "Good Omens" rugs they have for sale on Amazon are not a legal thing and by the way you don't actually spell Omens like that.
There shouldn't be anyone trying to take down fan tik toks, and I don't believe the BBC, Amazon, the Terry Pratchett estate or me would want that to happen, so I'd ignore them if I were you. Send them to this post if they keep bothering you.
I want the Good Omem rug so bad
