Tbh if you’re not the right complexion you’re deemed as ugly lol. Like pale people are deemed ugly too. I know how these people feel when people say stuff like “oh I don’t want to wear shorts with my pasty white skin” like there is something wrong with being pale… It’s like you see people falling like that and me personally I like to keep my skin color the same year round and I have friends who say this but it makes me feel awkward or wrong sometimes that I think it’s beautiful to be pale (as with every skin color!) There’s nothing wrong with any skin color - I wish people would get it through their heads! I think everyone’s natural color of their skin is the prettiest :)

Hey!!! I think you’re not rly fair and rly rude to “that one white girl” right now with your answer! I understand and whole heartly stand behind your message you want to send with the original post. And agree that the “what about tanning” idea doesn’t fit in this argumentation bc it’s not the same and doesn’t get the core of the problem you addressed with this post BUT I totally disagree with the way you handle a comment like this!! If you rly want to make people aware of an issue and someone comments on it genuinely wanting to add some other aspect to the discussion she/he thinks hasn’t been covered yet. You can disagree with the aspect and explain said person why you do that. The chance that said person sees reason and rly learns something about the issue you’re trying to communicate is more likely and positive than writing some very overbearingly worded answer like the one you just did. Bc changes that someone takes the message with them out of the discussion is near zero bc she will focus on something entirely else.than the message.

I only got involved bc I’m following “that one white girl” for some time and know that she’s a very genuine and thoughtfull person with a good head on her shoulders regading serious issues like this and doesn’t deserve this rude answer you just gave her.

Thank you :) I wasn’t meaning it was the same thing I just think it’s the same principle and all I was doing was sympathizing and stating that i don’t think that anyone should feel like they should feel bad or like they should change their skin color :/ I jus hate when I’m deemed a white feminist or just because of my skin color everything I like or say is due to racism or pulling te race card when I am not at all. I love all nationalities and skin colors and think every body type is beautiful. I don’t think any skin color is superior to another and white feminist is so offensive because it’s like they’re saying that I think I’m superior because I’m white because I’m not. All I was doing was sympathizing with the idea of anyone changing their skin color and how people should be confident and love their skin color they are born with.

It’s the same as weight. The media will tell you how to look and it’s unrealistic and I think people should embrace themselves and be happy to be whatever their skin color is and not put themselves down? If you're not swift enough to see that ^ isn't equating people feeling too pale to people being too Black and thus deemed ugly and unworthy by default (and this goes beyond just skin tone this is about RACE, if you actually read the post?) I'm not gonna be the one to explain it to you. Peace.
