So now we can’t point out racism among the whole white class (which includes women yes), without being misogynistic. Acknowledging that while the model for white femininity (still an archetype and not the mirror of white femininity if this concept has any sense) is in a sens more advantageous because it includes a racist promise of protection, it is still a way lock down white women under the protection of white men who exploit them.
I’m not advocating for a forced sorority here, but I’m seriously concerned about this curious need to put in the front misogynistic arguments when criticizing the active role of white women in the perpetration of racism. Saying white women are worse and more powerful than white men is misogyny, I’m horrified.

White female Trump supporters are the handmaidens of our sex’s continued oppression under the boot of the heteropatriarchy/male-supremacist hegemony and the white/Western-supremacist power structure. They were all too happy to sacrifice their civil rights as women– i.e.: reproductive rights, equal pay, equal opportunity with regards to employment, laws combating the rape culture and domestic violence, etc.– in favor of reaffirming the white-supremacist hegemony in both the U.S. government and Wall Street.

I wonder if they’ll thank you for your commitment to ideological purity when thousands or millions more of them die, are tortured, are illegally imprisoned, than would ever have been under Clinton. Or if I’ll be grateful to your assistance in allowing Trump to institute stop-and-frisk nationwide. Or if the LGBTQ community will call and thank you for Trump and Pence appointing Heritage Foundation-approved SCOTUS justices that overturn marriage equality. Or the AFAB people who may now see Roe v. Wade overturned and kept from being restored for fifty years. Or the people–including children–who will die when their insurance coverage goes away and/or companies are allowed to deny coverage for preexisting conditions. Or the refugees who will die because they’re banned from entering the country. Or the Muslim families who go to visit their families abroad and aren’t allowed back in. Or the trans people who were on the brink of getting federal protections that they will no longer see for years if not decades. Or the people in Flint and towns that will become like Flint, who will suffer more when Trump’s administration guts EPA regulations. Or the journalists who will be jailed or censored for “libel” when they write negative pieces about Trump.
There are many of us who didn’t want to vote for Hillary, but we have seen what happens when you allow this to happen–and “this” is a roided-up version of what we’ve seen before. I’ve been stalked by the Klan. I’ve been hit by a police motorcycle while storming the Capitol. I’ve been stuck in “free speech zones.” I remember seeing the horrific photos coming from Abu Graihb. What the fuck have you done?
You ignorant little pissants think because you read some fucking books that you know about the world and care what happens to it. The families that would have hurt and suffered under Clinton will still hurt under Trump–plus thousands or millions more. And that’s without even touching the effects outside of policy. White supremacists now feel their message has been accepted by half the country. They feel like they’ve won. Rapists and wannabe rapists now feel rape is not a big deal–after all, it wasn’t enough to keep half the country from voting someone into the White House. Hate crimes are already on the rise because racists and xenophobes and Islamophobes and anti-semites are already feeling like this is their country now. You didn’t stand up and tell them it isn’t.
What you’ve done is essentially say, “It doesn’t matter if more people suffer as much as it matters that I can feel superior to those who voted.” I have risked my fucking life fighting against a version of this bullshit that looks like a fucking day at the fair compared to what we’re facing now. You didn’t have the Klan outside your window at 3 AM taking pictures of your family. You didn’t have to be on constant alert for infiltrators or hitmen. You didn’t have your picture spread across the right-wing blogs and forums so they could seek you out and harass you. You didn’t face police violence and white supremacist violence on the National Mall or the streets of DC or the streets of Greensboro or the inside of your own home or your friend’s home or your college dorm.
You have risked nothing to say nothing and change nothing.
And now I, for the second time in my life, am preparing to risk my life and limb to show that this is not a world I accept. And I’m preparing to do this in a much more dangerous version of the world I thought we’d succeeded in pushing forward. All because you wanted to masturbate to your own intellect on the internet rather than feel a minor sadness as you filled in a fucking Scantron bubble that could result in thousands or millions of lives saved. sometimes i feel there’s a tendency to forget that Christianity is a religion that was born in the Middle East…not a religion founded by Europe. Many people in the MENA were Christian when Europe was still worshipping its pagan gods and polytheistic pantheons. yes, it is important to wrestle with how Europeans, after they converted to Christianity due to Roman imperialism, used it themselves as a tool for their own imperialism. but conflating the history of Christianity with whiteness comes off to me as actually a reproduction of white supremacy itself. like we’re attributing things to Europeans/whiteness again, and forgetting its Middle-Eastern roots. Eurocentric history, no?
this is actively harmful when it leads to the notion that Christians everywhere = privileged. they are not- MENA Christians are facing genocidal violence at the hands of ISIS right now, for instance. these people are not white or Westerners who can escape from this via Western privilege. If we go further back in time, the Ottoman Empire’s genocide was targeted at Armenians, Assyrians and Greeks, who were Christian minorities in what’s now modern Turkey.
